SmartSet Alarm Clock Radio with Bluetooth Speaker, USB Charger for iPhone and Android, Night Light, and Blue LED Display (Renewed)

Initially, didn't realize that it's possible to change the brightness on the screen. Now, it's one of my favorite features. There's a place to change the time readout and there's another to change the color on the bottom. When I go to sleep, I can tone them both down so they don't bother me. During the day, I like them both on as a design statement and to clearly see the time. I'm tech challenged and the print in the manual is tiny and not very user friendly, so I've yet to figure out how to turn on the radio and set the alarm, but I'm getting there. It's not the clock; it's me. Long story short, I'm happy with my purchase.

I don’t know why alarm clock makers can’t make alarms clocks with LOUD alarms these days. Every clock I purchase has a “soft” beep then gradually gets louder. Same with this alarm clock. I’ve only had it a few nights and I’ve woken before the alarm in the morning so I don’t know if it’ll wake me up or not. I’ll give it some time and update my review if necessary.I rarely use the radio feature on any alarm clock I’ve owned, mostly due to reception issues, but this one has surprisingly good reception and the radio is loud without being blaring, so I may use that as the alarm if the “beep” doesn’t do it.All other features are easy to use/program. I like the dimming feature of the clock and while I do like a bit of light in my completely dark room at night, the night light on this is pretty bright. I’m glad this is able to be turned off.This is replacing an older Emerson SmartSet, so I hope it’s worth the purchase or I’ll go back to my old one and this’ll be a guest room clock.

-This alarm clock is SO much easier to set than my last alarm clock. It’s pretty intuitive, to me at least.-I love the SmartSet feature! Every time I unplug this alarm, when I plug it back in, it resets to the correct month/day/year, day of the week and time. It’s pretty cool, actually. It also keeps the alarm settings from before it was unplugged.-the weekday/weekend feature is a life-saver. You can also set it to 7 days a week if you like.-the maximum number of alarms you can set is 2 (weekday and weekend options combined).-I haven’t experimented with the volume much, but I’d consider the default volume to be moderate. If you’re a very heavy sleeper, the default volume might be too quiet.-one con: the description says there’s a backup battery in case it gets unplugged or loses power. If you unplug it, it will actually turn off. It seems like the purpose of the backup battery is to use just enough power to remember the alarm settings, not to actually turn on.-I’d definitely consider it great value for the price, though, to be fair, I actually got a refurbished one here on Amazon for about $18, not the $30 or so here.

For such a little clock radio, the speakers on this thing sound great! And, that's just with a radio station. Setting the preset stations was a little confusing and took some time. I don't think you need 20 preset stations. I don't even get that many, so I just repeated my 5 favorite stations. Also, you're supposed to be able to set the loudness of the radio for the alarm, but I haven't been able to make that work yet.Other than that, I like the blue numbers. I don't use the night light, though, it is a nice feature. I haven't used it to charge my phone, so I can't say anything about that. It's nice and small, so it doesn't take up a lot of room. And, the best part ... the time automatically sets itself!

My daughter wanted a night light next to her bed and my son wanted a new clock radio because his other one went out. Well, this one has a night light, radio, alarm, and usb charging ports. Sounded good so I got it. Had it for 3 days before the display started acting a little funny. So when its like 15 after or 30 after, you have to look at your watch because its going to show an 8. It only does it for a 5 and 0. Also, when dimming the display to the lowest setting you lose the display. The display has to be on the first or second settings. Everything else works fine. It charges my son's phone just fine and my daughter has a night light right next to her bed. Its a neat little thing other than those cosmetic things.

This is a replacement for other Emerson SmartSet clock radios that gave up the ghost. It seems to work just fine, but be aware the blue LEDs are pretty bright. I didn't find out right away that there were 3 settings and initially had the brightness set in the midrange. After changing the setting to low, it seems to be OK. I had to replace my others because I had them so long, the DST feature was not up to date with the newer imposed 2nd Sunday in March and ends on the 1st Sunday in November time frame. There is a night light feature that seems unnecessary to me, otherwise, the clock radio is a great product.

Why continually take an excellent product and screw it up by adding all sorts of useless gimmicks that hardly anyone will use anyway? What is wrong w/ a radio that you turn on w/ one button and find your station w/ another?Took about 45 minutes and perhaps 50 button pushes to setup and still one alarm goes off every 8 PM. Afraid to try to fix that. How many people need 2 alarms? Then get the dumbest person you can find to write the damn instructions. How about the KISS formula? Sheerness for a clock radio???

love this but. has 2 flaws. there excusable though. 1st would be the alarm buzzer doesn't get real loud. and i had to set my time zone to mountain when i live in pacific for the time to be correct otherwise it's an hour off. these 2 issues are not deal breakers though. the radio is extremely loud. and has better reception then my sony shelf system. it is very easy to setup. it did come with a 100% dead battery in it. however a brand new one was included as were the instructions. the time can be dimmed and the nightlight shut off. definate plus's. would definately recommend it.

Buen producto de buena calidad, algo enredoso los comandos para las funciones pero cuando te acostumbras es fácil programar, le pongo 4 estrellas por 2 cosas una el ajuste de luz al mínimo todavía es molesta en la noche pero poniendo un paño se arregla y la otra el volumen al mínimo se oye algo fuerte de ahí en más todo funciona muy bien
