Turbo Ruins an Otherwise Good Controller
The overall build quality is good. The buttons feel good. The sticks feel good. It has been more than adequate in terms of responsiveness for the grade of controller it is. For all of this, it gets two stars instead of one. I can't give it any higher rating than that, however, as I have a repeated issue where the turbo gets turned on and won't turn off, even if I follow the procedure in the manual. I'm not even sure how it's happening because once I realized how finicky the turbo was, I started going out of my way to avoid pressing the turbo button, but it still seems like it just activates itself occasionally, causing whatever character I'm controlling to start spamming an action, most commonly whatever action is linked to the right trigger. Once this happens, even if I follow the procedure in the manual, (hold turbo and press the button again to cycle back to normal operation) the turbo function just won't turn off, even if it gives the appearance it has turned off the function via the Thunderobot logo going from a flash to a steady glow. This forces me to reset the controller, which itself only works some of the time. Occasionally, I'll have to entirely unplug the USB receiver, reset the controller with a paperclip, and leave it powered off, receiver unplugged, for several minutes. This usually makes the controller revert to its default setting with no turbo functions activated. This is not a reset procedure described in the manual; it's just something I figured out. The manual's whole explanation is "When the gamepad encounters an anormality, you can press the RESET button on the back of the gamepad to perform a reset," which plain doesn't work most of the time. It's very frustrating to have to do the whole procedure of unplugging, powering off, waiting around, etc. in the middle of a game, and has in fact cost me progress in multiple games because occasionally even this doesn't work until I completely exit the game and do it again. As in, I follow this procedure, plug the USB back in, power on the controller, and the problem still exists. Since having an action self-spam has a tendency to cause problems like soft locks, wasting resources, or getting you stuck in menuing loops, (Gee whiz, this door sure is locked; better check it repeatedly for eternity to make sure it doesn't unlock itself), it becomes impossible to progress, and I have to completely exit the game and do the full reset procedure again. This has been a constant enough problem that I have done lots of experimenting to try and find a consistent fix, but it seems totally random and different game-to-game and situation-to-situation as to what does or does not work. I'm fed up with trying to figure out a fix for this. I'm going to be looking for another controller as soon as I can afford one. It won't be a Thunderobot product, and it won't have a turbo function.

Nice quality!
Great controller! It was a little tricky to pair it up to our Switch, initially. We weren't able to do so wirelessly, but we were able to get it once plugged in. We did have to reprogram the controller so that it would match the buttons on the game that our kids play. Not a huge deal, but just as a heads up! It plays beautifully and vibrates like the name brand, at a fraction of the cost.
