C.Scope CS2MX Metal Detector

although this was purchased for someone else the fact that over 35 years ago as a kid I was mad on metal detecting with my stealthy all black c scope original means I have been unable to resist repeatedly borrowing it!Compared to many current machines it seems a lot less gadgety and a bit old school with no lcd and just the two control dials - it does seem robustly made however and gives the impression it will last a long time.Performance is the most important thing and in this respect it is excellent. We have found it to be capable of detecting very small items at impressive depths even in wet conditions and also picked up pieces from gravel strewn flowing streams.Coins give a really nice sound which you get to recognise after a while - and here I think it needs to be said that a bit of time spent learning the response of items to discrimination adjustments and the particular nuances of the tone will be needed to get the very best out of it but I guess that's where the hobby part of it lies.and hearing someone shout "ringpull" never gets old!
