Steinberger SPIRIT XT-2 STANDARD White Electric Base Steinburger

I wanted this Steinberger because I thought the aesthetic would better fit the punk band I’m in (Ruffian Dick). What I didn’t expect though is how great this little thing sounds!The electronics are passive, and though everybody everywhere seems to think the stock pickups stink and should be immediately swapped out I really like how they sound right out of the box. I’m playing the bass through a Rumble 500 and love it- and I am very picky about bass tone, for what it’s worth. I will say that I have to turn my amp’s volume up a lot more than normal just to reach the same volume level I get with my other active basses, but that’s a small thing.Looks great, sounds great, lightweight, and you won’t whack your band mates with the headstock during a show either!
