EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I just got the iPad M4 11 inch and I was looking for a nice keyboard case that I could detach the iPad from as needed. I liked the idea of the Apple Magic Keyboard but (1) I was NOT paying $350, that’s wild, (2) I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t a case or some sort of shell for the iPad to be in when detached from the keyboard (for $350 you would think they’d give you something), and (3) there was no way to secure the Apple Pencil (it magnetizes to your iPad but I want to make sure it STAYS there, again for $350 you think there would be something). I looked into other options as well and found some cool options from Typecase which is apparently a pretty popular brand, they even had their own version of the Magic Keyboard at a lower price ($100ish) but it was the same thing with the same things missing. That’s where this beautiful keyboard comes in! I LOVE it! First of all the material is fabulous feels so high quality. It’s like a silicone based materiel that feels buttery smooth and soft. The keyboard is amazing as well and the backlighting is great! The case is a little weighty but it is NOT heavy! This case comes with a shell to go on your iPad that you can use on and off the keyboard. I also really appreciate the fact that the closure is made to further secure the Apple Pencil to the iPad when not in use (I don’t know about you but I’m not willing to lose $129 because I bumped the pencil off of my iPad) I know I could talk about connectivity to the iPad, smoothness of the trackpad, keyboard quality, etc as well but everyone else did a great job talking about all of those things with this great keyboard so I decided to hit why I like this better than that overpriced and under-protective Magic Keybord! 😂 This is everything I wanted in a keyboard and I’m super happy with it! Hope this helps! Ps: sorry I don’t have the iPad in the case at the moment, it’s charging and I really wanted to to get this review up 😂

ESR Rocks! And This Keyboard Case for iPad Pro M5 is AMAZING!
I had the iPad Pro 11 M1 and decided to upgrade to the new for 2025, iPad Pro 11 M5. Not only did I have to buy the new Apple Pencil Pro to work with the new iPad, but my keyboard case for the iPad M1 was no longer compatible. I could have bought the new Apple Magic Keyboard, but really? It's over $300. So off to research new Keyboard cases and ESR, a company I trust (I have two ESR Cases for my iPhone 17 Pro Max and every device we own has ESR Armorite Screen Protectors) and this iPad Pro 11 M5 Rebound 360 case was very favorably reviewed. It comes nicely packaged and includes a USB C to USB A cable (though that's the only thing ESR should change as it should be USB C to USB C) with an easy to follow multi-language user guide and warranty card, you can scan to extend the warranty to two years. Setting up the Keyboard Case couldn't be simple. I did charge it out of the box, but it must have had a good charge to begin with as it was fully charged in about 20 minutes. Then press the power button for about 2 seconds to wake the keyboard. To pair it with your iPad, press the FN/Globe key and the B key until you see the Bluttooth blue pairing light flash. Open settings on your iPad > Bluetooth - look for the ESR Keyboard and tap there to pair. Boom, you're all ready to go. While the 11 inch keyboard case doesn't come with dedicated function keys (the 13 inch one does), you still have all the functions you need. Just tap hold the FN/Globe key and look at the number keys, where all the functions can be adjusted, like Volume Up/Down, Screen Brightness, Changing Audio Tracks, Etc. The Keyboard also has 12 RGB backlit key colors you can choose from or the ability to not use any backlit option. The case is very Apple Magic Keyboard-esque in its design. Of notable goodness is you put your iPad in a nice quality protective case and then attach the case with your iPad magnetically to the Keyboard case. The case doesn't take much effort to open and it offers significantly more flexibility in terms of where you can place your iPad. You can for example, raise the iPad higher if you want, which the Apple case can't accommodate. And you can even place the iPad in Portrait orientation, which the Apple case can't accommodate. Do note that if you place your iPad in a higher position, it needs to be on a very stable workspace as it could topple over. This case as mentioned is Bluetooth. I prefer that over the way Apple's case works, which powers the keyboard by three pins on the back of the iPad when attached to their case. The reason I prefer ESR's approach is if your iPad isn't plugged in when using Apple's case, the iPad is using the battery to power the keyboard. If you're out and about, it can drain your battery pretty quickly (and yes, I had an Apple Magic Keyboard). Since the ESR case isn't using power from your iPad to run your Keyboard, there's much less to worry about if you can't get to a power source to plug your iPad in to charge. Finally, ESR provides a magnetic flap to keep your Apple Pencil Pro safely stored on the case when you're not using it or traveling about virtually eliminating any risk of losing your Pencil. All the buttons on the case your iPad is in are clicky and responsive and all they cutouts for speakers and USB C charging port are perfectly aligned. I'm mightily impressed with this ESR Keyboard Case for iPad Pro M5. For less than a THIRD of the cost of the Magic Keyboard, you get a high quality, yet affordable option, which coming from ESR means it will stand the test of time.

Worth every penny!
This is a very nice case. Not as nice as the Apple version but solid. Sometimes the touchpad takes a minute to come back to life but not a huge deal. It has a really soft touch to it and it provides more than ample protection. I would say if $300-$350 for a keyboard case just feels wrong (it definitely should) this is a very close second at less than half the cost. Also the keys themselves are big enough and light up evenly with tons of color options. It’s a win in my book

A well-built, Great Functioning Keyboard and Case
This is a fantastic case! It is easy to use and provides great all-around protection for the iPad. All of the corners of the iPad are well-covered and button access is fully enabled. The Bluetooth pairing is seamless and the trackpad works well. The placement of the iPad in either horizontal or vertical use is effective and easy with a magnetic attachment to the case. The stand is at a fixed angle but the angle works well. The only downsides of this case are: 1) its weight (slightly heavier and thicker than the Apple Magic Keyboard, but 1/3 the price — and the ESR case provides much better iPad protection); and 2) lack of a dedicated storage partition for the Apple Pencil (which is easily knocked off if not being used while the case is open.) This latter challenge is also present on the Apple Magic Keyboard, without a flap to hold the pencil in place while traveling. Overall, this product is a great value. It is a highly functional case, with the biggest problem being the Apple Pencil storage while the case is open. If you don't use the Apple Pencil regularly and do want a great keyboard case, this is one you should purchase.

Convenient and better than others
Great alternative for the pricier one. Honestly it is the same quality if not better. I also love that it comes with a case for the iPad when you don’t want to use the keyboard. Lastly the flap closer on top holds the pencil in without it randomly falling. Better value and way cheaper for more stuff. Definitely buy it.

The perfect case if you want an iPad laptop + an iPad
Maybe the best Case + Keyboard for an iPad. Even compared with the Apple version. The quality is good, the keys feeling is nice, the trackpad is also good. I feel that the option to select something without doing a click on the trackpad is missing, or maybe is how iPadOS works. Love the magnetic options you have. Love that even with the keyboard, you have a case on the iPad. Design is good, maybe heavy for some people. Connectivity and battery are good.

Nice case
Great case for iPad. I like the lit up keyboard features as well as the fact the device is thin and does not make the iPad bulky. Excellent design and appears to be of good quality.

what do I do?
I was extremely excited to receive this keyboard for my new iPad Pro. The Apple Store keyboard case fit perfectly, paired automatically, and integrated seamlessly, but at $300, it was extremely overpriced, so I returned it when I found this one, which looked very similar in design and functionality for about a third of the cost. This one arrived today. It looks good, feels well-made, and, although pairing took a few extra steps, it works fine. The problem is the size and weight: it’s noticeably thicker and extremely heavy. The added bulk suggests better impact protection, but it completely changes the feel of the device. It no longer feels portable, and portability is the whole reason I switched from a MacBook Air to an 11" iPad Pro. So now I’m weighing the pros, cons, and trade‑offs: am I willing to sacrifice light weight and portability for extra impact protection? Is saving the additional cost worth losing its slim and easy-to-carry size? If this were an iPhone, I wouldn’t be agonizing over this. I use my phone very differently, with many more chances to drop it, so I accept the “rugged monster” phone case instead of a cute designer cover. But the iPad is different, and that’s exactly why I’m torn. I think I will keep it for a few days and evaluate if the extra size is still a concern.

Perfecto

Better keyboard than the Macbook neo - for the price of a tank of diesel
I was genuinley very supprised by how much I loved this case. I know ESR has a great reputation for quality - but DAMN, this thing is awesome! Not only does it give me the ability to type on my iPad, but its so protective and hefty too! To be clear I mean hefty in the best way - it feels professional! Super stylish, and with backlighting on the keyboard too? Someone call the macbook neo because this guys got you beat! Very nice keyboard - you guys rock!
