Used this on my android radio.
I have a joying android radio and was not impressed with the sound quality from its original mic. I bought this instead to see if it would improve.Overall it did improve the sound. But this mic might be too good lol it picks up some of the road noise 🤣 granted I have an 05 silverado on all terrain tires.

Really good, but!
I watched a review on youtube that highly recommend these over other options such as giant squid lavs.I have to say these work really really well for the price! they sound great when listen threw headphones. I would say if you are on a budget these are an awesome choice BUT!In the review I saw they forgot to mention that this has a 3.5mm MONO jack not Stereo. this means that the lav is gonna record both the right and left channel into one channel and out put it in one channel most likely being the left speaker. This means you need a mono to stereo jack adapter or go into your choice of editing program and fake stereo sound but copying the channel that has sound into the empty channel. Its not necessarily a deal breaker but would have been nice to know instead of freaking out for an hour thinking that these lav mics were broken.

Sounds great!
Sounds great! I plugged it into my laptop and the hum was terrible, until I unplugged the laptop's power supply and ran off battery. Not the mic's fault! I plugged it into my Nikon DSLR and it works great, but in one channel only. This is OK, because I can fix it in Premiere. But I made a cable that connects the mic to both channels of the DSLR, and it works great. (Wire the "tip" connection of the mic to both the ring and the tip for the camera.) I also made a little power supply with a 9V battery, a resistor and a capacitor. I can plug into the balanced input of my mixer with this circuit and the quality is great. The electronic noise generated by the mic is not an issue.Note that you must use shielded extension cables, or the hum will be terrible. Not all extension cables are shielded, including some Radio Shack ones I have. Unshielded cables work OK for headphones, but not microphones. The construction is kind of cheap, especially how it just dangles by the cord, but who cares at this price?

For the money, this thing is amazing.
The media could not be loaded. I normally record audio with a Blue Yeti microphone that I purchased through Amazon for just shy of $120 in 2015. I love the audio sound I get through the Blue Yeti but I needed a lavalier / lapel microphone to conduct interviews and for YouTube videos. I researched options extensively and I finally settled on the JK Mic-J 044 with the A2 (mono) connector. I do all my recording through a HP ProBook 4540s laptop - not through a smartphone or tablet. This microphone will not work with smartphones or tablets without an adapter. This is for PCs or audio recorders such as the Zoom H1. The sound quality of this mic cannot be beat for the price (<$30). For less than 25% of the cost of my Blue Yeti I can get decent sound for my purposes right out of the gate -- and with a little post processing I can get sound comparable to my Blue Yeti. For the money, this thing is amazing.

great Lav Mic!
This thing is amazing!! I used it with a Zoom H5n, but the problem I came across is that this is a non-powered mic that requires a powered slot. The XLR-1 input has phantom power, but the TRS port is not phantom powered. So I had to get an XLR Male to TRS female, and a TRS Male to 3.5mm female so that I could plug this in. It was a quick fix on set and worked really well Going forward I'll be using a phantom powered 3.5mm transmitter. For Performance: This little sucker has superb sound quality. Minimal ambient noise if any at all. The way I picked this one was going over the reviews for inexpensive LAV Mics on youtube and this is the top performer. At this price I'll be picking up a few more just to have on hand! I highly recommend you grab this mic.

Didn't Last Over 12 Uses
I've contacted JK and they are replacing it for free. So this time I hope I have a longer time with the mic that I like which the sound and quality is really good for its price.-- Update --I bought this microphone a year ago and only used it once a month. After getting through the 12th time, it doesn't work anymore. Does't even register any kind of sound on my Zoom H6.So dissappointed, cheaper Boya Mic that I use more frequently is doing fine compared to this...I was happy with using it, although it is a mono mic, post production the sound came out very decent compared to its other competitors aroud the same price range.

Works great so far
Works great so far.I saw a video review for this mic by Curtis Judd and have found it has good sound, but obviously not as good as more expensive professional level mics. His review said the Mic J 044 did not include windscreens, but it does include 2 windscreens.I use this with the zoom H2n. Just remember to put it on XY (stereo) setting and enable plug in power in the menu to get it to work properly. As sometimes recommended by Amazon, the Tetra-Teknica MNWS5P Mini-size Lapel Microphone Windscreens do not fit.

Amazing Value
I was very skeptical about buying a "Cheaper" Lapel mic for my Rode Mic Go system. However, this thing is brilliant. I will be ordering more to have on set. The audio is crystal clear with little to no interference and it is extremely small. Super useful for shooting interviews.I was originally looking at Rode's lapel and it was a lot more expensive. Staying budget conscience here and it paid off!

For the price they are reasonable.
I’ve owned 2 of the JK Mic-J 044 lavalier microphones as well as a JK Mic-J 017 lavalier microphone for a few years now. I rarely used them, but after quite a lot of research they were my first lav mics I purchased. There is some limitations and compromises, after all you get what you pay for. The mic clip is a little better on the 044, the 017 mic clip broke after the first use.The main drawback is its susceptibility to interference, which I tested the lav on a couple of different wireless kits to see where the problem was coming from. It appears to be very susceptible to picking up interference from the 2.3GHz frequency used by Wifi and consumer wireless kits (I was using the Rode Wireless Go). This presents as interference in the form of hiss at many frequencies (see the attached spectrogram image), all the horizontal orange lines are undesirable noise, but can easily be cleaned up. Its just another step you need to take and it takes time and it depends how bothered you are by the hiss. It isn’t a deal breaker and isn’t too pervasive. On the more expensive wireless kits using different bandwidths like the Sennheiser evolution G4 I tested it on, it appears to be far less of a problem, but if you use a 2.4Ghz kit in the area it will likely pick it up as well. However though, if you can afford a pro grade wireless kit, why would you be using a lav this cheap? So the irony is the cheaper kit your likely to use with this, is likely to be the 2.4Ghz kits and therefore likely to cause some problems. On the plus side it doesn’t appear to be a problem when using recorder that can be used as a body pack recorder like a Zoom H1, which would be appropriate budget conscious option as this doesn’t transmit anything and therefore no issues over interference. In my guess the main problem is lack of RF shielding, and why would you expect that to be present in a lav in this price range? In essence the quality is far from professional level and should not be judged as such. Will is sound better than your camera mic? Most likely yes. Will it be better than you smart phone mic? A good possibility yes, but it depends how close you get the smartphone to your audio source. The build quality is mediocre at best, I don’t expect it to survive through much abuse. However, in a pinch it will work if you know how to use it.If you have the skills it can sound reasonable. Now I haven’t personally tested other lavalier mics in this price range, so I cannot say how many others suffer from similar problems, but my guess is it’s likely.

Great mic
Extremely impressive lav mic. It's audio quality is, in my opinion, comprable to lavs costing several times more, eg Sennheiser etc. Voice capture is full and accurate with a good frequency spectrum. However, I'll have to see how it holds up to wear and tear over time. It's often the case that what seems to be a bargain is revealed to be less of one because the build/components give up faster than those of a premium priced product. Nevertheless, so far so good.Be aware that the mic requires "Plugin power" to be supplied to it from a recorder (as the Zoom H1 or H7 can for example) otherwise you won't hear anything. Also don't confuse "Plugin power" with the higher voltage "phantom power". Do not put "phantom power" into this mic or you could blow it. Check your specs.

Excellent low cost mic with good sound for semi-pro level video work.
I bought two of these based on recommendations by YouTube reviewers. I'll be using them for video making at semi-pro level. That is, my videos will be part of my business and sold, but I am not selling my video making services. In that context, these were an excellent choice. My testing (using a Zoom H5) showed me a good quality of sound, with a nice tone, and low noise. The mics come with a small foam wind shield and a good clip. The cable is long enough for my needs, and not too long to be easy to manage. Putting two into a Zoom input with a 2x mono into 1x stereo adapter (strangely couldn't find one on amazon) worked well. It transmitted the plugin power. As a note, these do need plugin power. That's not a criticism; it's the type of mic they are.

You Get What You Pay For
The unit is fine and works very well, it is also very inexpensive which is fine for me doing some field trials/experiments however,as my headline suggests, this is not a lot of money for this kind of device so I don't suspect that it will prove to be physically very robust in regular use. Put another way, this is not the device to "throw in your kit bag" on the way out to to conduct an interview. This gives me a device to play with but if I decide that this will be a regular feature of what I'm doing, I will most likely visit a specialist retail outlet where I can eyeball and handle the kit even though I will end up paying at least x6 times the price for a 'production device' that can take the inevitable 'knocks' of regular use.

Excellent value microphone with a good sound.
Absolutely fantastic value lav microphone. These are mentioned in a few different Youtube reviews and I have found them to be excellent quality and value. All microphones of this type are a little fragile and should be handled with care. These are as well-built as most others I have used, sometimes costing several times the price. Comes complete with small windshield and clip and - more importantly sounds really good for the price.
