Victrix Gambit Prime Wired Tournament Controller - Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 PC

Not gonna lie. Works for where it has to work. Still having issues with the steam input with certain games. But works out of the box for most. 10/10 since issues with the steam gamepad bs happens even on Xbox controllers, just gotta tinker around a bit. So far the buttons seem to be of a good quality. Quite happy to be honest.

The Victrix Gambit Prime wired controller is fantastic! I love how I can program the back buttons to jump which allows me to run, jump, and shoot all at the same time without any hassle. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the ergonomic design makes extended gaming sessions comfortable. The responsiveness is top-notch, delivering precise control every time. Highly recommended for gamers looking for a customizable, reliable controller that enhances gameplay!

I just picked up the Gambit Prime because my off brand controller died after a few years of use. I tried replacing it with one of those "submarine controllers" from logitech and hated how plastic and cheap it felt in my hands. Enter the Gambit Prime. Now, I know this is a controller mostly aimed for people who play FPS games but as someone who mainly plays lengthy CRPGs this thing is a treat. It sits comfortably in my (small/medium sized) hands and the buttons feel satisfying. The extra switches on the back (you can swap out the back plate very easily for either two or four back switches) are awesome for mapping stuff like healing spells and potions from my hotbar. The joysticks glide like a dream and feel smooth and the controller has a nice weight to it -- obviously it won't be as heavy as it's wireless brother given the lack of extra components, but it still feels good to hold in your hands. I really only have two gripes about this controller -- one, it looks like it forces you to use it's lengthy 3m cable to connect to your laptop. I tried connecting one of my own shorter USB C cables and the controller wouldn't power on. Not a big deal if you're mostly a console player but it can get a bit tangly when connected to the PC. The other thing, is while the controller is comfortable and has nice grips/texture on the front, this doesn't extend to the back of the controller. I wish Victrix sold more custom backplates for this controller separately as I would definitely buy one with more of a textured grip.

I'm really happy with this controller. It's really responsive!!! I didn't know Turtle Beach owned PDP so at first when I found out I was kind of skeptical but PDP did a really good job. Unlike Turtle Beach controllers when you try to update the firmware it doesn't work but with the PDP controller it connected fine an updated the firmware right away on the PDP controller app, it's not what it's called but you'll find it if you need it. I love the hairline triggers where all you have to do is just tap and you're instantly shooting and I love the customizable buttons on the back. Plus it comes with extra accessories definitely worth the money.

This is the second victrix gambit controller I purchased, and both of them were basically expensive trash. The first one lasted less than 18 months and the right bumper broke. I opened it, saw the problem, looked for spare parts and there were none, I contacted the manufacturer and they said they would not honor warranty since I opened the controller. I could have just closed it up and no one would have known. I asked the manufacturer to send me a replacement for the bumper and that I would pay for it, but they said they don't stock spare parts. Ok, my fault for opening the thing. I bought the second one in March 2025, and the right bumper on it already broke, 7 months after. I'm not dealing with customer service and with this brand again. I simply threw the controller to the trash where it belongs. These controllers are very cheaply made and are absolutely not worth the money. I recently watched a review that basically says their new hall effect sticks are less precise than their regular ones. Want modularity? Go with Thrustmaster.

Better than an elite series 2 controller from Xbox. Btw you a suppose to reclabrate the controllers though the app witch worked fine for me, out the box.

Some of the face buttons started sticking after a few months, and finally the left trigger snapped in half. The controller is still usable, but you might as well just get a basic Xbox controller. If you're wondering how the trigger could snap in half, well, the trigger is two pieces held together by a screw so that they can house some kind of rumble thing inside it. The screw's housing is brittle, and it snapped.

Was a little iffy about buying this controller because of some of the reviews. This controller is very lightweight I seen a lot of people saying that as a negative I actually like it more than heavier controllers I have used in the past. Really like the trigger stops it makes my reaction time a lot faster on shooters. Sometimes I will accidentally ads when I’m not trying because it is so sensitive so took a little getting use to that. I have had problems with thrustmaster and Microsoft having stick drift very quickly. I have only been using the Victrix for a week or two but have had no drifting issues and have been able to keep deadzones on lower settings. The victrix app is kind of annoying to get use to because you have to adjust your volumes in that but not bad once you figure it out. Kontrol freaks fit good on the right stick but on the left stick I had to sand paper the plastic edges on the kontrol freak so it wouldn’t rub on the victrix. Great controller so far for shooters like R6 and COD would recommend giving it a try. Possibly the best controller I have used.

Me a gustado mucho el control en el poco tiempo que lo he tenido puedo decir que es el mejor control que he tenido, pero el botón RB es muy frágil y se rompe, pedí la garantía y al que me enviaron se rompió igual del RB

I got this for my boyfriend and he loves it. One thing is the 4 paddles wouldn't connect on the app for him so he's just been using the 2 paddles that come with. other then that it's a really good controller.
