disappointed
Was excited to get this product after reading internet comments, although Amazon reviews weren't too positive. The product was obvious to me, not new but repackaged - maybe a return. Head piece was not symentrical and caused discomfort, scratches on the sides, and torn box with a repackaged looking sticker. Not enclosed in plastic package as other Sordins' on the internet and in you tube unboxing. Supposedly sound reduction was 31 - not sure - tried on friends Peltors too, and sound was more reduced, in my opinion. Maybe it's me or perhaps they were damaged through previous use.

max output amplitude is too low for wearing over earplugs
Highest volume is too low. If you're planning to wear earplugs under this headset for double protection then be advised the volume won't go high enough. The SFA features would be great if the hadn't dropped the ball on max output amplitude. The sound filtration choices seem good, otherwise. Sordin is a strange company, its next to impossible to map the products on their website to a real world purchase. None of the sku codes or manufacturing codes will match to anyone selling the actual product, so you won't really know what you're getting. Pretty much every headset is called Sordin Supreme Pro X, even thought there's about ten distinctly different variations. My guess is their military sales are priority.

expensive for performance
I use them for going to the range and IDPA practice: the ear protection is great, and the product is sturdy but comfortable. Can be used for hours without fatigue. Sadly, and although the product claims '400 hours of use' it drains the battery in less than a month and overnight, so you must carry ALWAYS a pair of replacement batteries. Therefore, it is just expensive for its performance. Tried to contact the manufacturer for the claimed '5 year warranty' , but customer service is nonexistent. Not everyone has this drainage issue, so good luck.

Works but definitely not new
Ordered these off Amazon when no one else had them. Although they work, something seems off. They’re definitely not new as even inside the box was messed up and the headphones had scratches. But had a new “sealed” sticker. Maybe a return and then sent to me. But. I one else has in stock so they’ll have to do for now.
