Initially I thought my unit had a dead battery because after 4 hours on charge the indicator was still at the first segment. After leaving longer the battery did fully charge. This may have been because the cells where in a storage state or something. Now regarding the projector in use, the design is wonderful as is the built quality. This thing can project almost anywhere. I use it on a professional tripod which allows a lot more flexibility. As for the picture itself, once autofocused the colours are very good and with pretty good detail. The sound also is pretty good from this small unit. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is the apps don't work apart from YouTube. I have a Chromecast running from the back which solves the problem.

Purchased this projector and the projector will only work when plugged into the mains. The battery does not charge at all from the mains. Very disappointed as this projected cost over £530 and does not work from the inbuilt battery. I work in IT and think the battery has a limited life and feel this projector has been sitting on a shelf somewhere and the battery life span has gone.

Great little product but audio no longer working properly.

There were problems with the XGIMI projector from day one that only worsened over the few months that I have been able to use it. Because of decent brightness and image quality initially I chose to overlook the lack of firmware updates and the fact that most of the built-in software did not work in the first place. But then not long after the warranty ended the projector's image rendering mechanics failed so now it is unwatchable. So potentially I have wasted hundreds of pounds on projector, viewing screen and 3D glasses. Needless to say this is a purchase I deeply regret. I've contacted XGIMI customer support who were initially responsive but have gone silent since I requested a replacement while they repair my projector and told them that the quoted repair rate of a further £300 is barely justifiable.
