The space that it saves in my living room, and I love that I could put pictures of my grandkids. I really like the lamp very nice. It’s great because I got a value. I didn’t pay as much as I thought I was going to pay and it was so easy to put together and so far it’s very strong I know because my cat jumped on it. It also lights the living room much brighter so I’m very happy with my lamp.

I have several of these standing boxy style lamps with shelves and most of them are a bit rickety and not very sturdy.I'm extremely happy with this one because the color matches my table, chairs, shoe bench and floating shelves. The simple design works as a nice looking aesthetic while you enjoy the space saving style. It doesn't throw off your decor. And it doesn't throw off the items you have on it's shelves if you bump into it because it is very stable. I prefer putting a remote controlled RBG bulb in my lamps for ambiance and having the ability to turn off the light with a remote. Especially because the chain on most of this style of lamp have flimsy pull chains that easily break. Not to mention the other lamps like this I own almost topple over when you use the chain to turn the light on or of. It had a nice satisfying sounding click when you pull the chain. Nice and strong. For those short on space, on a budget, or you simply like these lamps I absolutely recommend this one.It requires assembly. However you get to see all the parts are of far better quality than others and use screws instead of plastic pegs.The lamp comes with all the tools and parts you need including an extra of each screw ans other small parts in case od loss breakage or defect. Thumbs way up!Did I mention the wood is wood... and it was all uniform with no knots or bowing. Then uniformly coated/painted. The shade is not paper! It is like a cloth almost burlap type material.I will be replacing my other space saving lamps because the feeling of having my lamp not fall over anytime someone breathes is great. I can put breakable things on the shelves. I hope this helps!

This lamp is nice and very functional. Great lamp!

The Kukobo floor lamp was easy to assemble once I understood how it was supposed to go together. The directions are a bit sparse; for example, the one pictured shelf has tiny hole on one side that were not really described in the directions. Those tiny holes are for the dowel pins that hold the lamp shade in place. Not all of the bars fit flush with the shelves and the included zip ties (also not mentioned in the instructions) break easily when tightening. The laminate on 2 of the shelves was peeling a slight bit and I glued those to keep them from coming peeling further. The other thing that is inconvenient is that changing the temperature of the light bulb requires going through an off/on cycle for each of the temperatures.Removing 1 star for these slight problems as it is a nice floor lamp for the bedroom.

I bought a side table for my couch and it wasn't quite tall enough. So I bought this lamp and placed it behind the table. I love the warm light setting. It is very soothing. There are also two brighter settings.

Read on for details.After opening the box, there are a handful of parts to put together. However, the assembly is very simple and took roughly 20 minutes to put together. One tip that I will offer for assembly is to make sure to line up the preferred direction of the grain of the shelves; to avoid having to backtrack and disassemble and reassemble the shelf over again.The cord just clips to the corner posts which is a little bit rudimentary to me - for example some other more sophisticated units. I can’t fault the product for keeping the price lower with simpler engineering.Once assembled, I found a little nook in my living room that I intended for this shelf and lamp to live. I really like the way it looks and the ambiance that this adds to my room. The included CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) bulb can change white color balance to offer the mood that is desired. The light socket is a standard E26 socket - any standard bulb can be used (brighter, dimmer, colored, etc).The wood is pressed particle board and seems solid. However, what this means is that it is preferred to avoid moisture and getting the wood wet for extended periods of time. This unit has plastic threaded inserts where the bolts bind the pieces together - this means that assembly doesn’t mean a one-way trip. This unit could be disassembled if necessary and reassembled without destroying the unit - unlike many other cheaper pieces of furniture.Another great feature of this piece of furniture is, the unit can be assembled with all or just some of the shelves - in case a shorter unit is desired.The shelf becomes more stable and less wobbly when heavier objects are placed on the lower shelves.This Shelf Lamp unit represents a very significant value on a budget - great engineering and utility at a very budget price.
