Another quick update.Contacted Gramophone through Amazon and they came through wonderfully. They responded immediately and gave me two options. A refund of some of the unit's cost or have the manufacturer send a replacement top. I opted for the replacement and they contacted the manufacturer and arranged delivery for a replacement top at no cost to me. Got the top about a week later and switching it out was fairly simple. Looks great.Big thanks to the people at Gramophone. Awesome customer service.=====================================================One Year Update:After having this for 1 year a problem has developed where the veneer on top part of the unit has bubbled and begun separating from front. This is extremely disappointing. For the high price of the unit a problem like this should never have occurred. It's not over a heating vent, is never in direct sunlight, has never gotten wet or been subjected to any kind of condition where such damage could possibly develop.Will try to reach out to BDI & Gramophone but its been a little over a year so I'm not hopeful.Original review below:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This thing is beautiful and solid. Easy to set up as well, just need to attach the legs. Glass doors close nicely and safely. Center glass shelf is thick. No fear of it breaking. Back of unit has plenty of ventilation and easy access as the panels slide out of the way or can easily be removed.Only criticism I have is the screws that retract the wheels into the legs could be made easier to manipulate. Right now they need to be adjusted with an allen wrench. Not a major issue though.Well worth the cost.

I purchased this piece with some trepidation - I hadn't seen any reviews for this particular BDI item, I didn't know anybody who owned anything from BDI and I had never seen any of their furniture in stores. After thinking long and hard for months about this purchase (and searching in vain for anything remotely matching my needs elsewhere) I took the plunge and ordered. And I am so glad I did. The first thing you notice about this product before even opening the box is this thing is *heavy*! The next thing you might notice (and this is very minor, but speaks to the attention to detail) is that the tools included with the hardware are not your average throwaway allen keys: one sturdy good-sized allen key and one short, good quality screwdriver are included.Glass doors, MDF shelves and contoured glass center shelf are shipped installed so the only 'assembly' required is securing the short 'legs' - two main stainless steel legs and one smaller, inconspicuous wooden leg - all of which have recessed wheels and adjustable leveling feet that are adjusted through small holes in the main cabinet. The screwdriver is included in the event that adjustments are needed to the doors (mine did not require any adjustment.)The cabinet doors, in combination with high-gloss finish on the cabinet sides, have the appearance of being wrapped around the cabinet - a very nice touch. The glass doors are a good weight and the opening/closing action is very satisfying: slow closing hinges mean no damage or loud noise from closing the cabinets.The wood finish (veneer, of course) is exceptionally good - some nice texture in the grain, even stain and quality finish make this piece stand out. I went with stained walnut to complement my Noguchi coffee table and walnut Salk speakers and it really does just that: the chocolate stain adds depth to the color so the piece complements, not clashes.Ventilation in the cabinets is very good - large openings in the bottom and slats in the shelves (cabinets only: the center glass shelf is solid) allow for decent airflow. My PS3 does get a little warm, but not so much that the emergency fan kicks in or the unit shuts down. I may find myself ordering a fan kit in future.Would I buy it again or recommend to a friend? Absolutely, without any hesitation...

I think this is the finest tv stand there is. It is built very well and has great eye appeal and very sturdy.I would have given 5 stars but a part was missing,still is although I called about it. I had to drill the hole out on one of the legs to make it fit.This would probably cause a problem for some people but I had a large tv being delivered and I needed the stand NOW.Their tracking was not very accurate and delivery was made outside the house so be sure to have help with this as it is heavy.One last thing,it is EXPENSIVE.I hope it holds up.

This stand is the perfect companion for our new 75" Sony screen, perfect height for viewing and width for the tv. The stand comes 90% assembled and goes together easily with good fit and finish, solidly but. The white was preferable in our contemporary room and the back glass of the stand was a perfect compliment to the black of the screen. Another good feature is the built in ability to level the stand. Good ventilation. Remote signal goes through glass. Security strap is nice to have. Hides wires and cables well.

Excellent packaging and fully assembled. It took two of us less than 30 minutes to have everything in place. Delivery was a little stressful, but it was delivered by a third party after a series of calls. This product is awesome. I am very satisfied with the purchase.
