Very disappointing
Pretty average to be honest. Just looks like the tiniest sliver of opal on some really crappy rock. Even half the opal is just the colourless”potch” as they call it on Outback Opal Hunters, which they say is worthless. So I’d give this a miss to be honest and buy something that you can get a photo of first so you’re not disappointed!

Ha ha ha by the time I had took the purple dyed clay off the opal ended up about 8mm . Had to laugh .

Definitely not black opal! Like previous reviews it is very pale!!! Hence why it's cheap!!! Very deceiving photo!!! Also my partner works in an expensive jewellery store and he just laughed when he saw it!!!

Exactly what I was looking for. It's not a huge stone, I knew it wouldn't be. It also is different than the picture showen, but again I expected that I wouldn't get the exact one in the advert photo. I'm happy with what I got for the price, it will be a great stone to start to learn to polish.
