Mesh Upper The GEL-INNOVATE 7 has a newly designed upper from the previous. Asics have stripped the upper down and reconstructed it with using fewer seams and material overlays for a reduced overall weight. The result is a shoe that fits better and a more lightweight upper, without compromising the shoe's support. Constructed with breathable mesh, it ensures needed ventilation to the feet to keep them feeling cool and comfortable throughout a run. The California Slip Lasting is stitched around a canvas or EVA board and directly attached to the midsole which provides stability and comfort. Fitted with a plush collar and tongue provides the wearer with ultimate comfort, while the removable EVA sockliner also adds added comfort as it moulds to the shape of the foot. The sockliner can also be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic. Lastly, the shoe features 3M Reflective material on the shoe, it provides visibility in low light conditions. Duomax Midsole Equipped with Duomax in the midsole, it is a higher density EVA material which helps to reduce the effect of overpronation and also enhances the normal movement of the foot. The dual-density midsole system is positioned to enhance support and stability and is positioned sport-specifically. The Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System and SpeVa midsole technology ensure maximum comfort to the wearer.
