Giraffe Razor Extension Handle

What a wonderful ingenious gadget. Had my doubts whether it would live up to all the hype - but I was proved wrong. It does what it says it should. It is very well made and just the right length. It is flexible - in that it bends to various angles - so reaching every part of my legs easily. I have osteoarthritis in both knees and hips - and will soon have my first hip replacement. I know my giraffe will be invaluable then - as I will not be allowed to bend down. I use a Gillette Venus Swirl Razor which is a lovely purple colour - matching the Giraffe perfectly. However, the handle is rather fat - and although it fits into the Giraffe it is not such a tight fit. It could still be used - but since the Gillette Venus razors have interchangeable heads - I have decided to use the Swirl head with a Venus Pro Skin razor (which is blue) - and that is a perfect fit - with no movement whatsoever. So, since my only complaint is the colour of the razor (typical woman), I highly recommend the Giraffe to everyone with mobility problems - and even those without because it makes shaving even quicker. VAT relief should also be available for the disabled.

I have difficultly bending which makes shaving my legs tricky. I previously used a plastic long handled contraption with velcro to hold my razor, but it was hit and miss at the best of times and the velcro lose effectiveness over time. The Giraffe razor extension handle is brilliant. It's well made, sturdy and holds my razor very firmly. The telescopic handle means I can reach my lower legs/ankles much easier now and the pivoting head is great too. It took me awhile to decide to fork out for this but I'm very glad that I did. I quite happily chucked the rubbish plastic one in the bin and haven't looked back!!

So I have only used this once so far and found it brilliant for myself who suffers with a bad back and bending to shave my legs had become a once in a blue moon situation (only when needed). This would have rated more for me however, 2 things dtopped it 1, the price is a little steep for what it is (got you bent over the barrel with this as they know its needed) and 2, it does feel a little flimsy and I'm not sure how it is going to hold up over time.

The company responded in depth to a query I had and couldn't have been more helpful. The product was as described and as I have a back problem it has been a real saviour as I cannot bend fully down to my right foot. Very pleased with an excellent all-round experience from this seller.

After recently having a total hip replacement at a young age, this product has given me back my independence and dignity. Not to mention hair free legs. Simple to use , well made , fits my disposal razors. Did think it was expensive, guess that the price you pay for vanity

This product is AMAZING! Having suffered with a bad back for a few years now shaving in the shower always proved tricky. I find this product has made shaving a breeze,no more bending over in shower so no sore back after shaving. Highly recommend.

As someone who can't bend down to reach my legs to shave them, I was thrilled to see this gadget.It is quite expensive, but it is fully adjustable and is well made.My only comment is it takes practice to use, especially for the lowest part of the leg. Though it is well made, it seems a little wobbly. Even so, I haven't cut myself yet!

Arrived dirty, with sharp plastic edges, joints not flush, screws not properly screwed in etc. Overall poor construction considering the price.Unsuitable for use in the shower, because the handle is open to water when extended, and the inside bottom of it isn't accessible to be cleaned or dried after use. There is a large screw inside that will rust due to this problem.Worst of all, the box that this item came in (Giraffe branded box, not the external Amazon packaging) was covered in black mould inside! Returned for a refund.

Very great product if u have a disability and also works very well when ur pregnant... Very good price for a great product.

This product is very well made…2 adjustable attachments for different style of razors…a life saver for someone with hip or knee issues that can’t bend down easily…

Life saver. Unable to reach one underarm since broken arm, joint fusion. Now I can. Have recommended to others with limited mobility.

I had spine surgery 2 weeks ago and I am not able to bend or twist for 90 days and my legs were starting to look like Wolverine! This device made it SO easy to shave my legs. I have a bench in my shower and I sat on that to shave my legs and didn’t have any issues. I did not need to bend or twist at all. I definitely recommend this for anyone who has issues with bending or twisting!
