Santana - Live at Tanglewood 1970

Like all Santana recordings this one is sonically high quality, especially considering it was live and recorded 48 years ago. Gregg Rolie's playing really shines and David Brown is driving the bus. Great performances of all the familiar songs but Treat really stands out for me. Carlos is one of my favorite guitar players and this recording shows what a great jam band the original lineup was.

WOW! Excellent vintage Santana. I saw this concert on You Tube, watched it all, and was blown away. What a fantastic show. Decided I had to look for a recording and found it right here, bought it immediately. Just arrived and I am listening now. This classic version of Santana was so tight and classic. Who ever was at this show saw a great one. Sure do not see concerts like this anymore. I lived not to far from Tanglewood and missed it, 46 years ago!! Bummer. But I have the music now!! If anyone out there remembers this era of Santana, buy it for sure. You will love it.Peace! In 2016.

A powerful performance from the best lineup of Santana's band(Gregg Rolie-keyboads ,David Brown-bass, Jose Areas-conga timbales, Mike Carabello - congas and vocals and Michael Shrieve-drums) . This is not long after the Woodstock show so there is a reference to what to except. Check you-tube for a complete song list. Greg Rollo's Vocals- Hammond and piano playing sounds great and of coarse the rhythm section and drumming from Michael is dynamic and Carlos guitar is smoking. The sound is above average and after some tweaking after the first song it gets better. A powerful performance for sure. A great live performance from this lineup of talent which there is very little of out there today. A plus for your collection. There was only one band from that era that captured this unique sound and that is captured here, Santana. Check out other sites for deals.

This was recorded right after Woodstock that brings the same energy to the stage.It has great live versions of all of their early hits with very good sound quality.Get it while you can because it is a classic.

Perhaps the only live recording that's attainable of the original band that's a true testament of how important and innovative they were. The sound quality is actually quite good and anyone who was a fan from Santana's inceptionbefore that band imploded needs to get this.

dunno where this has been hiding for the last 48 years but.........well worth the wait! It's a must view to see a very young Mike Shrieve at the top of his form soloing brilliantly on Soul Sacrifice............a dvd is a must buy but where...????

This was a great concert and I really enjoyed listening to this CD. I synced it with the YouTube video and it was an enjoyable experience.

If you are a Santana fan of the early classic lineup then this is for you. This recording in Lenox MA. on the 18/8/1970 is remarkable. Professionally recorded in stereo the results are amazing. This is a blistering performance from start to end. It is a semi official release but do not let that put you off. Buy it before it disappears.

1 an après Woodstock, le Santana Band remet cela pour une nouvelle fois enfoncé le clou. Bon enregistrement sonore et une setlist comprenant les grands morceaux de l'époque. Beaucoup de percussions et une enérgie bien présente . Superbes interprétations . A noter que ce concert est disponible aussi sur YOU TUBE. Donc à voir et à écouter.
