1999: Victory Without War

Just when you think you know all you need to know about the Cold War along comes Mr. Nixon. In this book the late President Nixon speculates about the state of the world in 1999 ans beyond. While the Cold War has come and gone and the specter of nuclear war seems all but forgotten we are reminded of the dangerous of this world. More importantly Nixon's speculations in this book are nearly prophetic for an America that is grappling with its identity today. Sit down for a couple of days and heed the warning of a man thinking about foreign policy ahead of its time with all the merit that could be applied today.

Pretty good condition and giftable

Finishing this book 4/23/2000, I found it really interesting. Since it was actually written in 1988, a lot of the information is outdated. But most of it makes sense still. Nixon gave tips, political strategies, and predictions about the next twelve years. And he was right about most of them. This is a really good book, even though it is old. I still learned a lot from it.
