Infinity Gauntlet Box Set Slipcase Hardcover – 20 Mar. 2018

I deliberated over purchasing this, in the main because it was a big outlay, but I’m so glad I treated myself. I’d only read the original Infinity Gauntlet story when it first came out and I really enjoyed that. This boxset is something else, though, adding much more content before and after that event. Even the box itself features great artwork inside and out, while the books within are beautiful and quality bound. The saga told in this is just great! It is both well written and beautifully illustrated and I would recommend this boxset to any true Marvel fan, especially those who explore more than just the movies.

The box is amazing and massive, has a great artwork. The books in it are the same high quality books, as the masterworks or omnibus ones, but in reagular rize.Important note: Do not lift up the box, with the books in it, because it could fell apart by the weight of the books. Empty the box before moving around.Advice: If you get this, take a leave and read it.

The three stars I have awarded are in no way a judgement upon the work contained within the books. This is my favourite corner of the Marvel universe and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My problem is with the quality of the books contained within the fantastic outer casing. Three of these could not have been checked for quality and have various faults ranging from creased and folded pages, creased inner cover lining, page not cut to correct size and what appears to be a black marker line across one page. This item would have been returned but I have only just begun to discover these faults as I now begin to read through each volume thoroughly. I did open the item and inspect it upon its arrival when it was released but did not check all the volumes pages, leaving them sealed in their wrapping. Now I find that I am unable to return it as the limited time period for returns has expired.Should you purchase any of these great collections (the comics themselves are a joy to read) I recommend that you immediately examine every cover and page thoroughly for imperfections.
