cannot say enough positive things about this product. just absolutely superb in every way and highly recommend overall. i bought 6 of these already for gifts and personal use and would not even hesitate to buy another whenever i need it. i am no professional sound engineer or musician, but i am and have always been a huge audiophile and used JBL products for decades; never ever disappointed. i've used most of their recent bluetooth products ranging from earphones to the big boom box. i've also used many other high end products throughout the years - bose, sony, polk, yamaha, b&o, etc. now to the nitty gritty if you'd like to read further: appearance: just absolutely stunning. comes in a variety of colors which are all beautiful. very durable design and lightweight; would expect nothing less from JBL. nothing else needs to be said here and no complaints in the slightest. sound: just plain amazing, especially for the price point. great highs, deep basses, and projects so much louder than you would expect. i've never had to turn the volume up past like 50-75%, and that's in very noisy environments or anything really for daily use. just superb. well done JBL. connectivity: simple, easy, straightforward as you would expect from a well-designed BT product. no fancy bells or whistles, but flawless and long-range connectivity. all my coworkers use it at work and connect to it independently without any issues. features: one of my favorite features which i know comes pretty standard in similar products nowadays, is the speaker-speaker syncing. it syncs flawlessly with any other Go 4s with just a click of a button on both speakers. the sound is impeccable once again, no delay or issues in sound or synchronicity whatsoever. you can adjust each speaker volume independently too; really a neat feature. just highly highly recommend this product. you can't beat the price, and the design, sound quality, connectivity, syncing features are just superb. will purchase again for gifts in the future. buy buy buy! great job JBL!

Such a fun little speaker. Great for travel. Compact design makes it easy to throw in a suitcase or handbag. Amazing depth of sound. Fun colors to boot. Would absolutely recommend. Great stocking stuffer for gifts.

The sound quality is amazing and this speaker is really easy to hook up/connect! I love the colors and the volume goes pretty loud, plus the battery seems to last a good amount of time.

It’s extremely portable. Its battery life isn’t great, but it’s enough. It’s rugged and definitely waterproof. It can take a beating. It gets pretty loud for how small it is. Don’t get your expectations too high, but its sound quality is great for the size. Its loudness is great, and its bass is well, it’s there. You can’t expect much from such a little speaker. I use it for shower time. It works very well for that, as you can just plop it in the shower with you. You can hear it over the water plenty fine.

The "Big JBL Pro Sound" is really something. It is very small. The sound it makes is really good. The bass is strong. The sound is clear even when it is loud. The "Big JBL Pro Sound" can get wet. It can get dirty but it will still work. It is great for the beach or the pool. The battery in the " JBL Pro Sound" lasts a long time. You can play music for up to 7 hours. If you use the "Playtime Boost" mode you can play music for 2 hours. The Bluetooth connection is very good. It does not stop working even when you are away. The "Big JBL Pro Sound" is easy to carry. It is small and light. You can attach it to your backpack or your belt. It is great for people who're always on the go. The "Big JBL Pro Sound" works, with lots of devices. It works with iPhones, Android phones, laptops and tablets. You can also connect it to Big JBL Pro Sound" speakers. This makes the sound even better. You can make the "Big JBL Pro Sound" sound the way you want it to. You can use an app to change the sound. You can make the treble, mids and bass sound different. You can also choose from presets. Unlike older, basic models, the Go 4 is fully compatible with the JBL Portable App. This gives you access to a customizable equalizer (EQ) so you can adjust the treble, mids, and bass to your liking, or choose from audio presets Setting up the " JBL Pro Sound" is easy. You just turn it on. Connect it to your phone. Then you can play music. It only takes a seconds to set up.

Not only is the sound quality great it gets loud enough for outdoor/indoor use! I love the portability and design options as it is available in a range of colors. I was able to connect it very easy to mine and my friends phone depending on who was controlling the music. I have noticed a lot of products are changing to USB-C charging port which is nice as I have lots of those plug in's at home and this portable speaker was no different and has a USB-C charging port. So far I have been able to use this speaker anywhere from 6 to 7 hours on one charge and haven't had any issues with charging or being able to hold that charge for long periods of time. I was on the hunt for the perfect speaker to take paddle boarding this summer and I am glad that I went forward with this option. This little guy is a family favorite and gets lots of use so with that being said although the price was high for such a small product it has more than exceeded my expectations and we have used it enough to easily justify the purchase. Top 5 biggest wins as far as this product is concerned: COMPATIBILITY BATTERY LIFE WATER RESISTANCE ADJUSTABILITY COMPATIBILITY

I purchased this for my car because the speakers it came with were not that great. The hard part was trying to find a place to keep it. It plays more clear in an open space & upright so I may get some velcro to hang it on around the neck rest to have a more open area for good sound. I expected better sound from JBL but for the price its worth it. I compared it to my Dos Sound Box which is much better & fills my whole apartment with premium sound but it charges with an electrical plug & the JBL is much easier to plug into my car to stay charged. Overall, I think its a great buy.

Edit - this morning, this speaker fell off a shelf about 5 feet above the ground, due to the vibration... vibrated right off!! It took the lick and kept on playing!! The rubbery outer layer protects this little box with huge sound! I am so impressed with this little speaker! The JBL Go 4 may be compact, but it absolutely packs the sound. The audio is crisp, loud, and fills the room much better than I expected from something this size. It connected to my phone in seconds, and the battery life has been excellent...it holds a charge for a long time. First day... 5 hours at the pool. I plugged it in at the end of the day. I'll test to see how long and update this review... I also love that it's waterproof and dustproof, so I don't have to worry about it around the pool. I actually bought it to keep hidden in a decorative box in my bathroom so I can listen to music while I'm getting ready each morning. It's small enough to stay out of sight but powerful enough to make a huge difference.

Great little speaker for travel and around the house. Sound is good for the size of the speaker. Looks very well made, battery life as advertised, associated app easy to use.
