Performance Golf ONE Wedge - Solid Shots (60 Degree)

I’ve only been able to play one round with a 56 degree. With a full swing off a fairway it only travels about the distance of my old 60 degree. It soars very high but lands soft. It plays very nicely out of bunkers but I only had a few opportunities. So, I put my old 56 back in the bag and use this club as my 60. A few chips gave me very good results. UPDATE: a few more rounds and I'm really impressed. My bunker play is more consistent, it's good for chipping and it's helping me avoid chunking the 50 yard shots. Update #2: I’ve moved it up to five stars as I’ve gotten use to it, it really delivers. The key is taking a nice, easy swing whether in the bunker, rough or from the fairway 50-60 yards out. A nice easy swing results in a high ball flight that checks up nicely. The very wide bounce helps avoid chunking it.

I have used the 1 Club for maybe 36 or so holes. I have hit it from tight lies, the rough, thin grass, thick grass, pine needles, and sand traps. It is easy to hit, gets the ball up in the air, and seems very difficult to chunk. I have hit a couple thin, so I need to work on that. And distance control remains a bit elusive right now. Just need to use it more. All in all, it does seem to make a lot of different shots a bit to considerably easier. And using one club does make things easier. My nits are that the club shaft is very, very short and the grip is a cheap, small size. I needed to have a local shop add length and a better and larger grip. I’m a 15 handicap, been playing golf for decades,and am 6’3”. Hence the need for a longer version.

I really struggled with buying this club. Not particularly happy to pay $140+ for a wedge. But Amazons return policy helped me decide. The promises it made about getting out of the bunkers in 1 everytime seemed very much to be hyperbole. The first day I tried it, I was only in 1 bunker. I got it out in 1 not too close to the pin bus still I was out in 1 and on the green. The next rd I played I was in the bunker 3 times and got out in 1 each time. I played it several times out of the rough and had no problems. Just need to work on it to get my distance dialed in. So far I’m very happy with this club!

I had watched numerous YouTube videos and read books by the most notable in the game, and still, my short game was unreliable and nerve-wracking with my previous wedges. These new clubs, along with the training videos, have given my rounds a dependable scoring advantage. I actually look forward to chips and pitches now if I miss my approach shots to the green. This is some of the best money I have spent on the game in pursuit of lower scores. Even my golf coach applauded my newfound skill level. Get these, you will not be disappointed!

It is great out of the sand, just as promised. Unfortunately, I need it for the rough, not much sand around here. For me it’s 50 yards and in. The harder I hit it, the higher it goes. My only issue is I can still blade it, but that’s really on me. I’m happy with my purchase.

This is supposed to be a magic wedge, but I don't really see a big improvement over my old one. I watched a video where senior golfers were hitting out of the trap very easily, time after time, using this wedge. They must be very low handicappers! I am keeping it, hoping that it will help me improve my short game. Stay tuned!

It does work! It is heavier than the usual wedge, so you don’t have to put as much effort into your swing. Great value for the money, it’s a good quality wedge. Yes I would highly recommend it. I would like to add I am a lady golfer and it still works, but I do wish they did make them for ladies.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I watched the video and saw that it could be used with a normal stance. No specific opening of face, angling of feet, aiming to the right of target etc. Value for money: It looked good value for money if it did what was claimed and it certainly does that. Out every time.

I bought the Performance Golf sand wedge to help me get out of all types of bunkers in all types of sand and it helps but does not guarantee anything. Good bunker technique is still required but the margin for error is a lot better than a standard sand wedge. If your'e struggling getting out of bunkers and it's ruining otherwise good scores it might be the club for you.
