These handles are a lot better than the cheaper trade products and the design and build superior. However , these are slightly different in size and hole centers from the cheaper trade products so are not a quick or easy replacement. The brass screws supplied are very brittle and when fitting the handles a steel screw of similar size and length should be used to create a pilot hole first and then insert the brass screws, this then prevents them breaking. If fitted correctly the handles look beautiful.

Easy to instal. In my case used as a replacement set of handles, the footprint of the brass plate was perfect for my door as it covered several old screw holes and also different backplate marks that were on this old door 40 year old door.Anyone who has problems with the brass screws, this can easily be overcome by drilling a small pilot hole so no more broken screws or chewed up heads. Brass is a soft material.

Bought two to replace a broken pair of cupboard door handles. They look good, with a nice smooth deep shine brass finish - better than the ones they replaced of a similar design. Not convinced by their durability - there is a noticeable wobble from the handle relative to the baseplate on both handle. Will see and update the review later if they fail early.

I fitted these on a bathroom door to replace some tarnished ones. They've only been on a month, and they're starting to discolour already. Other than that they're smart looking and sturdy, and they may be okay in other areas of the house, but I wouldn't fit them again in a bathroom environment.

Needed new brass door handles that were the same size as the ones being replaced, so the paint marks and screw holes matched. A lot of the cheaper ones are much shorter length, so was delighted to find these. Fitted exactly and there was no need to repaint.
