Excellent Quality, Really Comfortable, So Satisfying
First off, the Equinox Home Theater seat looks great. Its appearance gives me the impression of being a hand-crafted, leather seat. The ambient lighting around the base, cup-holders, and control panel (when buttons are pressed) accentuate it very nicely. The whole thing just looks beautiful. It is also amazingly comfortable. My butt sinks very softly into the leather seating. And aside from being able to recline, the lumbar support means my lower back doesn't feel the "gap" behind it I feel in most seats and chairs. I adjust the lumbar where I want it, and I can save its position to memory! The same applies to the headrest. I can easily feel more "upright" while fuly reclined, or completely laid back for a movie nap!Other built-in features I have found immediately useful were the memory button (as mentioned), the USB charging port, and the tray table. Obviously, the USB port is great because I don't have to run a cable to the chair if I'm on one of my devices. And If I choose to use the tray table, I'm able to easily mount it on either the left or right arm-rests. It's a really convenient option for when I have to snack or use a tablet. A feature I had added to the chair was the SoundShaker.I love watching movies, either on DVD or Netflix. And after a binge-watching session this last weekend, I found watching movies much more immersive--especially with the SoundShaker. Feeling like the room is alive with the reactions of what happens on-screen really draws you into the experience. Interestingly, the SoundShaker did not seem to affect the couch next to my seat. I also do a lot of gaming. This is a serious upgrade from my old gaming chair!

Very comfortable!
Got this chair for my 82 y/o Mother a year ago. She was having problems with her sciatica and has phlebitis in one leg. This chair was absolutely excellent. She was able to learn all the functions quickly. She loves the tray which allows her to do her hobbies (sewing/knitting) and use her computer. The blue lighting is wonderful and looks super neat too. Her sciatica has since healed and to this day the chair works perfectly. Craftmanship and quality are excellent.Assembly is a little tricky but not that bad. It took my Dad 1 hour to get it together.Only part I would pre-warn people about is this thing is HEAVY, One person can not move this beast and God love ya if you have to get it up steps like we did. My Dad actually had to create a pulley system so we could get it up the stairs and into their house. UGH! Other than that I would buy it again!

Super Noisy
So loud! These recliners have screeched whenever we operate them from the moment we bought them! We have tried powder, oil, silicone....it's awful! I would throw them in the garbage, but my wife is willing to put up with the noise. We actually have to pause the tv when we want to raise or lower the chairs because we cannot hear anything during that time.

Not exactly as I was expecting, but a great recliner, regardless!
Buying online is a little risky, because you can't actually feel the material. This is my second online recliner, as I immediately returned the last one I bought. I decided to risk it one more time, and I'm not disappointed at all. However, from the pics, I was expecting buttery-soft leather, which it's not. It's a tough leather, like what you'd expect when looking at high-quality, real leather recliners. I'm probably a novice when it comes to knowing about leather, and all the different ways it can be finished, but I can tell that this leather is going to last a lifetime. Speaking of quality, this chair is rock-solid! I broke my last recliner, but I'm confident the Equinox will handle lots of abuse. One of the things that I thought could use a little design improvement, are the LED lights.- should have a separate switch to turn off the base light- should have a dimmer for the lightsThe base light is really bright! In my theater room, it would certainly be bright enough to throw off the colors on my projector screen. I've read posts about people adding a dimming cover, sold separately. I think that's a bandaid on the problem. I ended up cutting the zip ties holding the LED rope light on the bottom of the chair, flipping the rope to the other side of the bar it was on, then zip tyjng it in place. Made a huge difference, and it just took a couple minutes! Look through the pics to see how I did it, and the results. One other little gripe I have is the SoundShaker plug. It's set up to accept the proprietary plug from the matching amp, sold separately. It would've been nice if they added an open-ended plug to connect to an external amp. Intead, I'll have to it and replace the plug with a standard RCA plug, or bare POS/neg wires.Other than that, I'm really happy with this recliner! It's really comfortable, and I imagine the leather will soften over time. The price is actually less than many of the leather Lay-Z-Boy recliners I was looking at, and with way more bells and whistles. On top of all that, it's an absolutely beautiful chair! It looks so good in my living room, and makes everything else in the room look a little more classy! I'm definitely going with a row of these in the theater room, when I'm ready.
