Overall it is good product but it is for smaller aluminum and fiberglass boats up to 12’. Hooks are heavy duty stainless steel with lock clip and are actually something u want to keep.Anti chafing rubber boot is also heavy duty .Good splicing on hooks.Inside is made of 1/4 inch bungee cord medium grade. It will last easily few seasons. Outer shell looks like nylon and can take UV beating better than poly plastics.These are meant to be used in light duty calm marina docks and smaller lakes, and not really cottage docks that are open to rough waters with boat traffic and wake.

We have to replace these fairly frequently because after a few seasons in the sun, the rope starts to break down. So I was eager to order this pair with a clip on both ends. The clip feels very sturdy and it is big enough to clip onto itself if you need to place it over a pole to anchor yourself. The clips will let us use them to chain tubes together with just the bungee - I'd added some carabiners to other bungees to accomplish the same thing. These are perfect!

The carabiners are a bit stiff and awkward to use but they work.
