I have very curly hair. 3a/3b type of curl. This product actually slicks my hair back and maintains the hold throughout the day even with the Texas heat/humidity. I have medium length hair and with this product I can style my hair similar to Bradley Coopers. If you have curly hair and are looking for a clean, professional look this product is for you.

Best Pomade I have ever found. I have super think, curly hair. It actually straightens my hair when I slick it back. Holds up to Texas heat and humidity. It's water based and washes out easily, which blows my mind. I have tried Goon Grease, Suavecito and Layrite. Nothing I have tried has come close to this stuff.

I'm not sure what's in the product, but there is a pretty thick top layer that is crusty. I ended up having to scrape about 1/8" off the top to get to the softer portion of the pomade. This is the first time I've ever had any type of hair pomade or clay like this. Even after I scraped the top, I still got little white balls in my hair (I have black hair). Maybe they need to put a seal over the top to prevent it from doing that?

My container had a bit of a crust on top. It was firmer on top then under that crust. It really didn't impact performance though ... I took a penny size amount up on my finger and rubbed between my hands to warm it up and spread it out. Then I ran it through my nearly dry hair ... easy enough. It rubs in pretty well. It does leave my hair feeling coated but not stiff or brittle. It does provide good hold. The scent is strong so if you don't care for scented hair products this may not be for you. My wife described the scent as musky and masculine. At the current price of ~$22 for 3.4 oz it's not inexpensive for my household. It is made in the US though which I am happy to support. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

Surprised at how stiff and dried it is when opened. This made it really difficult to apply evenly and to blend. Hold is ok, but way to much effort to apply for an average result. The scent is extreme indeed. Super strong scent. Might be ok if you like the scent, but it is not pleasant smelling to me. Smells too much like too much of a strong perfume trying to mask chemicals. Unfortunately, I shy away from using it simply for the scent.

Does as described. Strong hold nice smell. Also easy to apply no tug.

Where do I start?I guess with the first thing you’ll notice. There’s hard crust things in the entire container. You have to work your fingers like mad, essentially ruining some of the hold so these crust things don’t end up very visibly white in your hair.Second. The hold. The hold should not be bragged about. It’s no different than any other hold if not worse. Layrite by far has a stronger hold at a lower level of “extreme”. Even Reuzel is also far superior.Which brings me to my next point. The smell. It smells awful. It smells like it belongs in an industrial plant for cleaning metal. Both previously mentioned brands have an excellent smell. This stuff is baadd.Lastly you’re getting less quantity for more price. Again both previously mentioned brands have more for the same price or cheaper.Seriously. Stay away from this stuff.My Hair reference. Course, and wavy/curly. Going for a slick back top look. This brand doesnt make it happen, other brands do.
