Great tones, small size, similar tones to Vox MSB
This is an excellent little amp at a great price. I have lots of great tube amps from vox, Matchless, bad cat and vintage fender. This little guy is an excellent backup for many of those mid gain tones. The built in speaker emulation is not great, but everything else exceeds my expectations. I got an Omni IR that's way better for speaker emulation.Besides a better speaker emulation, the only other thing I would have preferred is an EIC connection rather than a proprietary plug. Minor issue and for the price is hard to beat. I also had the vox mini super beetle for a while. The two amps have similar core tone and reverb. Vox has tremolo. Hotone has a a plexi channel. Both are great!

Great tone and portability
I bought the Nano Legacy British Invasion a little over a year ago and loved the tone and small size so figured the Britwind would sound good too. I liked the idea of having 2 different sounds plus the reverb and boost features. This means for most gigs, I would only have to take the Britwind, a speaker and a guitar. I have been playing too long and do not feel like dragging a heavy amp around any longer so this is perfect. The tone is maybe even a little better than the nano head. The reverb is great and all the features work like they are supposed to.

Great little pedal amp
This thing is awesome, especially considering what I paid for it. $170.00!!!Very nice sounds from both channels, including reverb and boost on each channel.

Dead Pedal after great investment - POS
Thought after reading reviews I'd make the jum and use this with my Mac and a new PreSonus Interface, cables and speakers. After all that expense and waiting, I turn this thing on and it shuts off - as if a fuse blew or something - none of the other 1000 dollars worth of pedals on my studio pedal board affected - no lights, nothing. A three hundred dollar silent brick. It's simulating silence right now and doing a great job at that - but NOT WHAT I PURCHASED IT FOR! Songwriting project on hold: thanks not so much Hotone, you left me COLD. Don't take the risk at this price point, much more reliable products on the market from better vendors.

great cab sim
this to me is the perfect headphone amp.. the cab sim on it sounds the way i want it to, and now i cant stand my regular amps/speakers to the point of finally just running this into a mixer and into my regular stereo speakers and ditching a "real" amp/cabinet altogether.takes pedals well with the gain turned all the way down.the british invasion channel sounds awesome, great breakup and depending on the guitar can get pretty crunchy. i really just love this thing. the purple wind isnt my favorite but does have its charms. i've yet to find a better value and cab sim than the Hotones!

Feature packed for the price
I needed a backup preamp so I wanted something small and light weight with 2 channels and an xlr out. I purchased this amp because there are a lot of pedal amps and preamps available but most of the lower budget ones do not have xlr out, built in reverb, and can power a cab. The cab sim is the weak point in the amp. It sounds ok but I find it adds a fizzy quality to the sound and needs the eq set differently than when running into a cab. Overall, I think this amp offers good tones, great value and will work for my purposes.
