Hampton Bay Low-Voltage 200-Watt Landscape Transformer

Once you learn the manual, the transformer is easy to set up and change. It is powerful enough to light all the lamps i have on the circuit, and i find it easy to adjust the timing of the lights as the seasons change, as daylight savings time comes in, etc. It was a little tricky figuring out how to set the time and the timing at first, but once you do it, it is a breeze. Very happy with it.

It works very well but then it is just a transformer+rectifier with some control electronics thrown in. It should have been much cheaper.User Interface is a bit clumsy till you learn it, but it is easy to learn.

It works great. Hasn’t rained enough so can’t rate the waterproof component

I contacted Hampton Bay and they said they don’t sell through Amazon they only sell through Home Depot . I got a low voltage light from you guys that was not working called Commercial Electric

Required the Landscape LED lights to turn ON when a person at night walks up to the front door when the Landscape lights are OFF. Most Landscape Lighting Transformers don’t have a PIR Motion Detection Function/Feature, some have a Photocell, Dusk to Dawn but not a motion detection function.The Hampton Bay company has an elementary option to add a Controller to their Transformer.Pros and Cons for the Added ControllerController: it is powered by a 3.2V rechargeable battery instead of powered from the Transformer.Controller: Change Settings on the Controller instead of from the Transformer.Controller: No Motions Detection sensitivity settings.Controller: Time ON settings after Dusk, only 4, 6 and 8 Hours.Controller: Time settings after motions is detected only stays on for 10 Minutes.Controller: Good length 24 feet for the Sensor CableInstalled the Hampton Bay (Model SL-200-12A) low voltage 200watt landscape lighting Transformer in the garage. Installed the Hampton Bay Controller (Model 99007) PIR Motion Sensor under the roof eave overhang. The Controller is approximately 20 feet from the Transformer. The PIR Motion Sensor Cable from the Controller is 24 feet long and is plugged into the Transformer Photocell socket. The low voltage cable from the Controller is only 5 feet long and is cut and replaced with a 2/12gauge voltage line, connected to the COM and 12V terminals on the Transformer.Please Note: Both the low voltage cable for the LED lights and the Controller low voltage cable are connected to the same COM and 12V Terminals on the Transformer.All works well.

Installed easily. Instructions were clear and concise. This transformer handles all my backyard lights just fine. No complaints.

Great product this is the third one I bought

I bought this lighting control to replace the original Malibu Transformer/Timer which broke-down after approx. 10yr. The original was no longer available therefore I thought this product looked like a suitable replacement. This turned out not to be the case. I like having my landscape lighting to be lit from dusk until 2-4hr after, and then again about half an hour before leaving the house in the morning until just after dawn.You do not have a 2 separate lighting times option in a 24hr cycle with this product. Please bear that in mind prior to purchase. Adding a separate timer inline to your lighting is also not possible.
