If Apple made a popcorn popper it wouldn't be this nice.
This is a stunningly beautiful and well-made product that does exactly what it promises. It allows you to easily make top quality popcorn from home. I'm a huge popcorn nut and I've never seen anything else like this on the market. I've already made several batches with my family and we've devoured with delight. It's been fun to let my kids help and best of all, it's an opportunity to connect and do something fun as a family with a delicious outcome. Their popcorn kits make it super easy (the kettle corn in particular is delicious), but you can just make any popcorn you buy at the store work with it too. I'm already thinking of creative possibilities for add-ins and other seasonings. It's easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and works on my induction range. It's not too heavy, but clearly sturdy and high quality. It's so beautiful I've let it sit out on my counter to dress up my kitchen a little. :)

Not cheap, but solid quality
I suppose the real question is this: how much do you like popcorn? This is a very well-built home popcorn kettle that gives really good results. I bought it with the kits and they work well. The price is, obviously, on the high end, but it's great at what it's built for.

Quality Doesn’t Live Up to Pricepoint
The first Popsmith I ordered had chipped coating on the pot and the lid. I exchanged it for another one, hoping that it was a random defect. The second one I received looked better, but still had chipped coating on the lid, this time by the handle. At this pricepoint, and for Popsmith to market themselves as a “luxury” brand, I expect better craftsmanship. The popper works fine, smooth operation and all the kernels popped, but I suspect more chips will appear over time with normal use, as it just doesn’t seem that durable. If there were another dishwasher safe, stainless steel option out there I’d return the Popsmith.

It's truly a great product, but not for me
The product looks amazing. The packaging was fantastic. It even makes great popcorn, if you buy their prepackaged stuff. I found it to be too much trouble to use, and instead put Popsmith's prepackaged mixes into my microwave popper... and gave this one to my neighbor... who loves it. To be fair, my issue is more about my apartment's coil stove burner vs a gas stove burner rather than the Popsmith Popper.

Great popcorn maker!
Great stovetop popcorn maker. I bought this for my daughter & her family for Christmas. They love it! It is EXTREMELY pricey, but I did find a sale during the holidays which made it a little more palatable. It popped all the kernels & was pretty easy to clean. It has a nice weight to it so I'm hoping that it will hold up well.

Expensive disappointment - popcorn like cardboard with burned taste
I bought this Popsmith Popcorn Popper in Mint, paying a premium price for what looked like a quality product built like a tank. I thought it would last a lifetime and produce great popcorn. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. I tried it today following the manufacturer's directions exactly. The resulting popcorn was like extremely tough cardboard with a vaguely burned taste - completely inedible. There were also lots of unpopped kernels left in the bottom. For the price point of this popper, the results are unacceptable. A simple air popper produces far better popcorn at a fraction of the cost. The build quality may be solid, but that doesn't matter if it can't perform its basic function of making edible popcorn. I'm returning this and replacing it with an air popper. I give it 1 star, and if I could give less, I would. Save your money and buy a basic air popper instead - you'll get much better results.

Solid and well made, it just works. Oh, and go watch the company's vids, they're fun. :-)
The item finally came in after being lost in the shipping system for a while. It feels solid and well made, easy to use, and no issues with the painted finish so far. It definitely feels like an heirloom item, an investment instead of a purchase with a countdown to replacement. We've popped a few batches now and it just works every time. Nearly every kernel popped and tastes great. Easy to disassemble and clean.

Price, but I love it
Quite expensive (even on Prime Day), but I love it and it is solid. I had a cheap one for years and it was impossible to clean and flimsy. The yellow color is fabulous too
