ThinkGeek Sandscript Automatic Sand-Drawing Machine

It is louder than I would like. I wish these weren't discontinued, bought 1 for my grandma and now I can't get 1. My grandma loves it, she started with the base sand, and at some point replaced the sand and marble with iron filings; so cool!

Very noisy.

Hard to make patterns and it is actually rather loud.

Great product. Takes some time to create different patterns, about 10 minutes. Wished it came with steel beads, I had some at home and it makes for a cool effect. The ball bears could roll smoother and magnet could be a bit stronger but it is exactly as advertised.

Fans of zen gardens or Etch a Sketch take note: this ‘toy’ is awesome.You can let Sandscript go and it will mindlessly draw images in the sand. A more immersive experience is fiddling with the dials; very similar to Etch a Sketch. Either way it’s a nice way to unwind, have a cup of tea and take your eyes away from the phone, laptop or whatever gadget.Namaste
