Bristles can be softened with hot water
Overall, my husband and I are happy with this product! We are currently trying to get rid of as much plastic in our home as we can. I heard of boars hair toothbrushes online, and was happy to find this product on Amazon. We have so far not experienced any bristles falling out, which would not surprise me as the product states there is no glue used to hold the hairs. I also wanted to note because I have seen some reviews about the bristles being too firm, yes they are pretty firm initially, but the good news is you can simply run the bristles under some hot water for about 5 seconds and it softens them up nicely! They will harden again, so you just need to repeat this every time you brush your teeth. I also like that these brushes have a thick base so you can stand them up on the counter.

These are great!
These have been great! No bristle breaking or anything like that. In fact I’m still one the first one of the pack after about 2 months and it’s still holding up just fine! The secret I think to prevent breakage is to wet the brush with really hot water then add the paste.

you need to make the switch
Changing to these boar bristle toothbrushes was an easy switch. They work just as well as the regular ones, but without all the risk of microplastics. The bristles are just the right firmness, giving a thorough clean. A solid move toward cutting plastic out of my everyday routine.

Good but bristles come out after 4 months.
I love the idea behind this tooth brush and have used them now for 6 months. I would give 5 stars but there is one danger to this toothbrush. The fibers or hairs will come loose after about 3 or 4 months and when they do, they get stuck in your mouth or throat. They are hard to notice at first when they come lose and are stuck in your mouth. I have not swallowed one but it feels like if you were to by accident it would not end well. It has that very fine fish bone anxiety once you think you feel something sharp and pointy in your mouth. My suggestion is to throw the brush away at about 2 months and use another one before the bristles start coming out. When you first get this toothbrush the bristles are very stiff but they slowly soften over time. There comes a point where they are too soft to actually clean your teeth at about 4 months. So again I would suggest you chuck it in the trash and use a new one before the bristles start coming out.

This toothbrush is life-changing!!
Ever since my family switched to using Primals Boar Bristle & Bamboo toothbrushes, my brushing experience has improved. I noticed that my sensitive gum feels better with the natural bristle. This product delivers its promises and I get a peace of mind knowing that I’m not putting plastic substances into my body. I also like the fact that the toothbrush stands on its own, thus making the drying process easier and cleaner. Without reservation, I would highly recommend this product 100 percent!

Good build, comfortable bristles
Solid quality toothbrush. Before this, I was using a Philips sonicare but started really caring about the things used on/going into my body and this toothbrush was a great addition. It’s a bit smaller than my old toothbrush so had to get used to the size. I thought the bristles might be kind of hard but my teeth loved them and didn’t feel any discomfort at all. If you’re trying to reduce microplastics in your routine, I’d highly recommend giving this toothbrush a shot!

Bristle lodged in my throat.
I’m on day two of trying this toothbrush. At first I was in love. Now im concerned. It’s the middle of the night and struggling with a bristle that has somehow lodged itself in my throat.I noticed with every brush one or two bristles would come loose. This last time I guess I didn’t catch it. It’s really uncomfortable and won’t budge. I’m worried it could get worse.Sadly I will be asking for a refund for these. I wanted to like them. But the bristles coming lose is a problem.
