HERBIVORE AM to PM | Nova Serum + Moon Fruit Serum Review: I really liked the Bakuchiol, itโs not thick and goes on smoothly - I liked both serum, however, the Nova has a very strong awful smell that is difficult to accept when you first apply it. The smell goes away around 30 seconds so I have accepted it during the time. Review: Great quality duo suitable for most skin; turmeric gives the Nova serum a strong scent - Moon Fruit serum: 5/5 rating I really like the Moon Fruit serum. It's a source of 1% bakuchiol (an effective dosage) which is a great alternative for those who can't use a retinoid or even as a supplement to those who do (they play well together!). This serum absorbs quickly on my skin, and although there is a mild, odd scent (reminds me of floral cardboard), it dissipates so it doesn't bother me. Nova serum: 4.5/5 rating Vitamin C is one of the skin care go-to ingredients after retinoids. It brightens and protects. This has tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which has less clinical evidence but suggestive evidence that it works well, and it is a more stable form of vitamin C. Technically, this has no added fragrance ingredients, but it has quite the scent from the turmeric which is also in this for the positive benefits for skin (brightening, protecting). I fortunately like turmeric, but if you don't like the scent, this serum won't be for you as it is quite prominent at first (it very, very gradually dissipates). Both of these can be used in the AM and/or PM, but traditionally, many use a vitamin C product AM and bakuchiol in the PM. Bakuchiol, unlike most retinoids, is photo-stable, so it's OK to use PM. Always spot test first since even botanicals can cause irritation, and sometimes people experience irritation with vitamin C products, especially at first. My skin did OK with both of these products. It smells. . . .
. . .and not in a nice way! Both of them smell horrible and to think that I was soooooo excited to use them. =( I have a very very sensitive nose as some of my conditions make me very very sensitive to smells and when I say sensitive, I mean like if someone has a perfume on that my nose thinks is too much, I start to get a headache which can lead to a migraine which can lead to other issues. So if the scent of something bothers me, I cannot use it. With that said, I couldn't even put this on for a few minutes as I had to wash the product off my face as the smell did not dissipate. I tried both hoping that one would be better than the other. It wasn't. So I cannot say if this would've helped my skin as I do not plan on using this at all. What a waste that for the price that it smells so horrible. What a waste of time and money for this product. As for me this product is a HARD PASS as if I cannot use it because it smells sooo horrible, it's not worth a penny to me. With that said, please remember that everyone's body chemistry is different and what I HATE, you might LOVE and vice versa. What works for me, might not work for you and vice versa.

A Luxurious Skincare Experience
I recently purchased the HERBIVORE Brightening + Smoothing Duo, which includes the Nova Serum and Moon Fruit Serum. I was excited to try these products, as I've heard great things about the brand and its natural ingredients. Here's my review: Brightening and Smoothing: The duo is designed to brighten and smooth out the skin, and I'm happy to report that it delivers on its promises. The Nova Serum is a powerful brightening agent that helps to even out my skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots. The Moon Fruit Serum is a gentle exfoliant that helps to smooth out my skin texture and leave it feeling soft and supple. Natural Ingredients: I love that the HERBIVORE Brightening + Smoothing Duo is made with natural ingredients that are gentle and effective. The products are free from harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and dyes, which makes them perfect for sensitive skin. Luxurious Texture: The serums have a luxurious texture that feels amazing on my skin. They're lightweight and non-greasy, making them perfect for daily use. Only 4 Stars Because: The only reason I'm giving the HERBIVORE Brightening + Smoothing Duo 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price. At $127 for both serums, it's a bit on the pricey side. While I think the products are worth the investment, I wish they were more affordable. Overall Impression: Despite the price, I'm really happy with the HERBIVORE Brightening + Smoothing Duo. The products are effective, natural, and luxurious, making them a great addition to my skincare routine. If you're looking for a high-end skincare product that delivers on its promises, I would recommend giving this duo a try. Just be prepared for the hefty price tag!

Amazing serum duo that works!
Decided to give this duo serums a try and I am glad I did! This brightening + smoothing duo is powered by 1% bakuchiol, plant peptides + 15% Vitamin C & Turmeric. I have sensitive skin and surprised both did not make my skin red. People complained about the smell but there isn't any to me. Its very moisturizing and keeps my skin hydrated for the entire night to the morning. This HERBIVORE Brightening + smoothing duo, Nova Serum + Moon Fruit Serum has brightened and smooth my skin. My skin just drank it up. I would say the value is reasonable of the price point because it 15% Vit c and it is working really well for me. A++++ I hope my review was helpful to you. Have a great day!

Nice Serum Duo
I gave this Brightening + Smoothing Serum Duo by Herbivore a full month before posting a review. This is my first experience with Moon Fruit and I was pleasantly surprised by the results which were excellent. Best thing about this combo is that it doesn't contain retinol which causes skin redness, irritation and peeling when I use it regularly. Itโs gentle and safe enough to use morning and night. The colors of the serums are purple and yellow which was interesting to me. I combined one pump of each together with my fingers and applied the serum to my face twice a day, concentrating on my puffy, dark eye area which really needed help. These products have a light, botanical smell. I can't pinpoint exactly what they smell like, but its earthy and I like it. Its not overpowering and it doesn't linger. Upon first applying the combo, it provided my middle-aged complexion with good hydration and gave my skin tone an immediate pick me up. My skin felt so soft afterward that I wanted to just keep applying it. These serums are not oily and absorb quickly. No issues under moisturizer or liquid foundation. Long term I am noticing a definite difference in my overall skin tone. Dark circles are lighter, fine lines are less noticeable. Puffiness is still an issue, but at least my face has a nice, healthy glow This duo is expensive, but it is a high quality product that works as advertised.

Friend or Foe product?
Understanding and experiencing Retin A cream, which works over time, and based on the amount and frequency of use, it possibly leaves red and/or peeling skin on areas of the face over time to achieve the desired results. Thus far, this duo combo has yet to make my skin react that way., over a period of one weeks. It works well under my water-based foundation. I have applied it after makeup removal and as skin night care. Thus far, I have not seen any remarkable decrease in fine lines and wrinkles or radiance, as the product claims. Does it require, over time, proper evaluation and a fairer comparison? I'll follow up to provide a more valid product review before total thumbs down.

Decent alternative to retinol if sensitive to retinol
As a person who's skin takes a while to get used to retinol (which upon first use can turn the skin red and cause mild irritation), the "Moon Fruit" half of this duo seemed too good to be true; "visibly" reducing fine lines with just plant peptides and extracts. I thought I give it a try since when I stop using retinol, even for a few days, my skin has to go through the process of getting used to it again. The Moon Fruit extract is expressed via a pump and the product does have a rather earthy, but not unpleasant, scent. The product did not turn my skin red, nor cause any irritation. My skin did feel great after use. I did not use makeup after use, but I did apply a moisturizer over the serum. Seems to be working as advertised.
