Very easy and strategy

My son and I have been playing this game and really enjoy it. It’s a tile placing game with the goal being to extend your camel caravans across the board to claim oases, watering holes, and areas. It’s a turn taking game but each turn goes quickly, as they really consist of just placing 2 camels and claiming anything you can. It’s low complexity (2/5) but high strategy (4/5) from my perspective. There are tons of small pieces which I placed in little clear bins around the board during gameplay. The game does include a lot of small baggies to store pieces in the box afterwards. The pieces are made of plastic and the tiles and board of cardboard. Everything felt good quality and no issues popping tiles out of tbe cardboard for setup.I appreciated the simplicity of the game and how easy it was to learn- the instructions are very clear and without confusion. Highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys casual strategy games!

I've been playing board games for 10+ years now. I play everything from heavy euro (including 18xx) to light and party (i even play classics). This is a lovely game that I'd call medium-weight in terms of concentration & strategy. It's also a bit smaller than many typical boxed games so it's easier to travel around with. The one major drawback is the colour scheme - it can be difficult to see if your eyes aren't those of a falcon's. highly recommend for avid gamers!

This is a new edition of a classic game but one that I had never had the opportunity to play. The production quality is very nice and with a few extra folds to the board they managed to fit a largish game into a relatively small box. Pieces are all quality, colors are vibrant and the board is easy to interpret. The game itself is fun and fairly fast-paced and quick. There's quite a bit of player interaction and it gets quite competitive. Really easy and quick to learn and catch on to the strategy of the game. Overall, great production and really great game. I highly recommend it!FYI - on a side note, one of my leader camels was missing its leader. I reported the problem to Allplay customer service on Sunday and had a replacement in the mail on Thursday afternoon. GREAT customer service.

I was excited to order this 'ALLPLAY Through The Desert - Classic Strategy Board Game' for my family. We have some serious board game players! This game is a reissue of a famous 'tile laying' game created in 1998 by famous German game designer, Reiner Knizia.The game box is only 7x11" so should be portable enough for us to take on family vacations. It's perfect to play with our middle grade kids (appropriate for 10-11 to adult, and maybe younger for kids who play a lot of strategy games). This strategy game is fun and of moderate intensity - with characters that ride on camel caravans across a desert landscape.
