I was hoping this IR Blaster would help me control and automate my newest TV and one that was a little over year old. I returned the items because the best it could do with Alexa was to turn on/off the TVs. I have a Fire/Toshiba RV and a TCL 85" TV (December purchase). I attempted to use the LEARN function on mutliple devices and it would not learn from wither of my remotes. Pros: * Decent app * There are a lot of pre-established devices but none of them worked properly. Cons: * Amazon Fire/Toshiba TV -- Only thing I could get to work was turning the TV off/on and changing the volums -- Could not get it to navigate up/down the Fire TV menu * TCL Q series -- I could only get Alexa to turn the TV on/off -- I could only use the app to act as a remote controller * Overall -- Instructions provided are difficult to follow -- You have to provide a power block and longer cable to use the device unless you have a power source within two feet of where you place the device. * Learn function - I could not get it to learn any functions from my remotes I'm returning the devices because it's not worth the price to only be able to use it to turn on/off my TVs. I never got around to trying to control my sound system since it would not control the TVs.

I got tired of not being able to control my fan on my shelf and ceiling. This one device turned anything with a remote into Alexa enabled. I can now set my AC and leave it on fan or turned off when I go to work. If it ends up being hotter in the day and I want the house cooled down, I just go to the app and turn the AC on as I leave work. And it feels great walking into a cool house instead of a hotbox that will take an hour to cool down.

I bought this product with the intention of not having any issues with the programming and to save electricity, but the truth is that the products constantly get deprogrammed, which gives me a headache.

Bought this to control an off-brand tower fan with its own remote. There are a lot of options in the SmartHome app, but make sure to follow instructions, because it's very capable. The device we wanted to control is not standard, but the app's learning mode is very easy to work with and had no issues with the oddball brand remote. Been using the device with Alexa for weeks and it's been quite reliable.
