Rosewill Cable Tester - Pro RTK-007

I just received my Rosewill Pro RTK-007 cable tester and there appears to be a problem. I haven't contacted Rosewill yet, but here is a description of the problem. The "GND " LED on the Remote Terminator does not illuminate. I tried it on 2-separate RJ-45 cables (one brand new received today; one cable I've been using with no problems). Also, on the main unit, the "GND" LED located on the top row of test lites illuminates, but not the corresponding bottom lite. Whether I'm testing a cable between the Remote Terminator or both ends connected to the Main Tester, one of the "GND" LEDs does not illuminate. This may be normal operation, but there's nothing in the user's manual that indicates this as normal operation. I will provide a followup review once I get this problem resolved.Followup: After researching the wiring diagram of RJ-45 cable, I discovered that there are only 8-wires included. This explains why the "GND" lite on the Remote Terminator doesn't illuminate. Apparently, since several types of cables can be tested by this tester, some including GND wires, the Main Tester Unit illuminates the "GND" LED in the top row by default. It would have been nice if they had included something about this in the User's Manual.

I really like this cable tester. Easy to read LED's (even from across the room), and solid construction. Uses a 9 volt battery. I recommend

This solved some mysterious problems I was having. Works good.
