I'm pretty familiar with lion's mane supplements at this point. I even make my own when I can forage enough. I was really weirded out by the capsules. They're white instead of see through. I got curious and opened up two to see what was inside. I've never had a powder quite this shade of brown. If you look in the photo, the Viovea lion's mane is on top, my usual brand is underneath and the Viovea is substantially darker. I know there's variations in color when it comes to Hericium but I've never seen in this dark. I also saw little reflective bits in the powder that could be metallic but I couldn't get them to show up in a photo. The difference in color is so huge that combined with the other red flags, I'm not even willing to ingest this supplement. The website is essentially a landing page ad. There's no real info about the product anywhere. Hard to trust. It did arrive, the count is accurate but something just feels off about this product.
