Levi'sMen's 502 Taper Chain Rinse Jeans

These jeans were very competitively priced although the price does vary wildly with the colour. When they arrived my initial reaction was they were not genuine which was surprising as they supplied by Amazon but the red tab just had the registered trademark indication and no "Levis" written on it.After much digging around on the internet, I concluded that they probably were genuine as apparently every 50 pairs of jeans are marked up this way. All the other indications were there, leather belt patch, printing inside and number on button matching the printing inside. In the end, I concluded that if someone had gone to all the trouble to include all the other indicators of a genuine product they would probably not miss printing the name on the label!I was happy with the jeans themselves, they fit well but err on the side of generous so if in doubt go for a smaller size unless you like a bit of room. They have a little elastane in them and give more than traditional Levis. They do not feel quite as hard wearing but they do seem to be a well-made pair of jeans for a great price paid. I like the style of slim legs without the extremes of skinny jeans and they look smart on, it will be interesting to see how they wear in.

Just bought a second pair in Biologica. Compared to the almost identical Chain Rinse first pair, these are made in Egypt rather than Poland. In theory according to the label the material is identical but the Biologica pair are softer, more stretchy and therefore more comfortable. Levi have factories all over the world churning out jeans that look identical but feel completely different and it seems to be pot luck what you get. Personally I'd recommend this new pair more than the first but there is no guarantee you'll get the nicer pair made in Egypt Infuriating product inconsistency. 511 still a better fit.Original:Quality is excellent, clearly genuine despite bargain price. I am a 29" leg and the 30" isn't too long - bunches a little bit but neatly, and just enough to do a turn up. Fit is comfortable with a small amount of stretch. Very pleased with the purchase but on balance I prefer the lower fitting slim fit 511 jeans, hence 4/5 instead of top marks.

I usually take 501 Levi jeans but ordered these as they are tapered for a more modern look. You can definitely notice the elastic material added to the denim which certainly makes them comfortable but if anything they feel a bit big compared to 501's. The length is a little longer than 501's too, but the jeans are definitely a little narrower at the leg/ankle. Material and colour seems to be the same as or as near as damn it to 501's. They have a zip fly not buttons but I was not fussed about this.

These are great and fit as expected. I got them at a great price compared to in-store. If you want to be sure they fit, I suggest you go to a Levi store first so you know the model number that fits you best, then the waist/leg size. Once you know that you're good to go.

Finally, the perfectly cut jeans! Comfortable like my 501's to the waist and hips/thighs, bit nicely tapered over the calves. Ordered my usual size and despite not being able to try them on in a shop, they sit nicely on smart brogues. Very pleased and will be buying more for work and social.

Good quality product and arrived on time

This product was great except that the taper to the leg was a bit tight for my calf, so if you're a bit heavy set you may want to opt for a bootleg style. In all other respects the fit was perfect.
