I am used to getting the paper or cardboard poppies each year, the ones with a small wire for a stem. These are made of cloth, and have a proper pin to attach them to your lapel. The cloth is a nice thick material, and I can see these lasting for many years with just a little care. The pin does have a small cover to go over the sharp end, to keep you from accidentally poking yourself.
