Exceeded Expectations
I have a ZeroWater pitcher in the refrigerator and it is pretty slow to pass the water through the filter. I didn't order this for a long time because I was thinking it too would be slow to pass the water through the filters. As it turned out it does very well. I checked the water with the included tester and it is showing around 003. That could be because the container I tested it in is slightly contaminated with tap water. I've been using it about two months and it has been producing great water. I recycle water bottles by refilling them and taking them to work. It makes me feel a little better about what I'm doing to the environment. I have to admit the water doesn't taste any different than the tap water from the faucet. I have to believe the filters are taking out anything harmful from the water that I'm drinking. Sort of like taking vitamins. I may not feel the difference after I take them, I just have to press the "I believe" button and believe it is good for me.UPDATE March 31, 2014I would have to change my rating of this to "Exceeded expectations while it worked".The valve on the bottom of the jug that shuts off the water into the cooler stopped working and allowed the cooler to overflow. I tried to repair it but I couldn't and had to replace the bottom jug. I replaced the bottom jug that has the valve in it with a different make that worked but it has less volume. It works fine though. I ordered another of these Zero Water bottles but haven't installed it because the setup I have is working for now.

I think this is a great buy, and worth your investment.
I read all of the reviews before purchasing and still took the chance and purchased the unit. I could not have been happier with my decision! I was a life long diet soda drinker, and after kidney stone issue, switched to only drinking water. I was going through so many bottles of water, we decided to invest in a water cooler, and decided on a filter system over 5 gallon bottles. Taking the unit out of the box, it did feel flimsy to me, as others have stated, but once assembled I have found it very sturdy. You don't have to a mechanical engineer to assemble, but do read the instructions! Check the items are screwed tightly, but know over tightened as to crack the plastic. Check the float moves freely, but seals once activated. As for the water quality, it is fantastic! I've become quite the water snob, being able to taste the difference between all of the major bottled water retail brands, and the water out of the ZeroWater is by far the best tasting water. I've owned the unit for almost a year, and have never had the fishy smell that others speak of, but then I go through almost 2 gallons of water a day, so there is no time for the water to stagnate in my dispenser. I also empty and clean the unit weekly.Filling the unit is easy, I have 4 one-gallon PBA Free bottles I fill up at the tap in my kitchen with HOT water, and then place them near the water cooler, which then cool to room temperature. When I am down a gallon, I simply empty one of the staged gallons of water into the top unit to filter and fill the bottom unit. When I use the last staged gallon, I fill them up again. I've marked on the unit the 1 gallon and 2 gallon levels, on both the fill and the holding sections of the unit, so I know I wont over fill it.I've had to change the filters about every 3 months, but even at 15-20 MMP, it is still the best tasting water around.Overall, I think this is a great buy, and worth your investment.Pros:Easy to Set-upEasy to MaintainEasy to FillEasy to DispenseCheaper than Single Serving Bottles and 5 gallon bottles from the storeNo transport of heavy 5 gallon Bottles of waterCons:Properly Installed Float doesn't have a high flow rate, so you cannot fill 4 16 oz glasses of cold water at the same time (unless your water cooler has a larger cold water holding reservoir).Float nut can loosen with vibrations (i had a desk top fan on the credenza with the water cooler in my office), but checking it with the weekly cleaning will prevent any issue with overfilling the water cooler reservoir.

Love it
I absolutely love this. It fits perfectly on our Primo water cooler and we have had no leaking issues what so ever. It is easy to fill and quick enough to filter, and the water tastes crisp and clean. I had no problem assembling it by myself and setting it all up. My only comment is that, realistically, this only holds about 1/3 of its capacity as filtered water. The top half of the jug is where you pour in the tap water and the bottom chamber is where the clean water lives. My water cooler has hot and cold tanks inside it, so we always have more water then it looks like in the jug. But the bottom part of the jug has a line indicating the water level should not be higher then that. which limits how much water this jug can store at any one point in time. I still highly recommend it!

Water tastes great but have a mop and bucket ready. Poorly designed or manufactured overfill stop.
The filtration system filters water well. The included TID meter is a great way to impress your spouse or your friends on how well the filters clean the water. I'm not sure what the numbers truly mean but I'm sure bioscience expert will write about it. Unfortunately, the floating overfill stopper at the bottom of the filtration system failed on me. The floating stopper failed to keep the water dispenser from overflowing. After filling the dispenser with a couple gallons of water, I found half of the water spilling over onto my floors. Since the reservoir in our water dispenser was not visible and the water was leaking within the enclosure, I did not notice it until a large pool had formed at the base of our dispenser. Adjusting the stop did not work and after a few mop ups, I gave and returned the system.
