Last night I was waken up by an strong smell, went in the hallway and my wifi extender was in fire, I've manage to put the fire out but unfortunately the plug was melt and the wall burnt.Should be safe, what if i wasn't home? I had it for 3 days only. I DO NOT recommend to anyone, stay away from this product.

Our router is upstairs in our two story house. My laptop would connect and then drop the connection. I researched online to see if it was problem with my laptop as the provider suggested since I was able to connect but didn't have internet: ip address wrong,dns probe, etc. After Numerous calls to the provider resulted in a run-around: check your computer(brand new laptop), maybe something wrong with dsl line, software update on router, etc., but it was still occurring at regular intervals. One last call to provider. I asked about an extender and he said this could be the problem...this was after three months of calls....so I ordered this one rather than pay an outrageous price to the provider. It really does the job. It was easy to setup and I have not had one dropped connection. Set up gave it the same name as my modem with an EXT behind it and I used the same password. I love it and am thinking of buying one for our rented winter condo because the reception is slow there also. Frustration over. PS. If you are wondering why I put up with the provider. I will change it at the end of the contract.

To be honest, I was expecting a "so so" product, for what I've paid it.Instead it really surprised me.The speed is not stellar (300Mbps both ways, which for a repeat means a max of 150Mbps of link speed, on a Wi-Fi "n" capable device), but it's very very stable (in 1 month I've been using it, ZERO freezes or reboots) and the reception is actually GREAT thanks to the two external antennas.Please avoid buying the one with internal antennas, it just cannot work as good as this.The setup was very easy, and the repeater also comes with a LAN and a WAN port.I'm really really satisfied.

Picked this up for around £18 and had high hopes on the basis of some of the positive reviews I had read. And indeed, initially it worked fine (although I had to do a hard reset of the device in order to get it to connect to my WiFi). I connected via my iPhone and got good connectivity in a part of the house where previously, there was none at all.About a day and a half later, it just stopped working. Full stop. Tried resetting it and even connecting via my laptop using the supplied cable - nothing. I also noticed that it was very hot to the touch (not warm, but hot) which leads me to think that it also wasn’t particularly safe left plugged in for any length of time.Returned for a refund. Cannot recommend.

Brilliant! Have tried to expand the wireless range in the house with two other boxes before this one. Neither have worked well, the last attempt was dreadful - no extension on the wireless range AND the speed test told me I was only getting 0.42 Mbps download speed (as opposed to 4.5 if using the wireless direct from the router). I sent it straight back. On a third time lucky basis I ordered this Aivake range extender. It's brilliant not only can I finally get wireless in the end bedroom but according to speed test I am getting 6.5 Mbps download speed. Not sure how that's happening as the router is only giving me 5 mbps at best but I'm not arguing. Well done Aivake

OK, so when I saw the instructions that cone with this I thought maybe I'd misunderstood the product description. I looked again on Amazon. It's fine. My advice is to not use the instructions that come with this - they are over complicated. Look at the instructions on the product description here. It's much easier to follow and doesn't involve wired connection as the paper variant suggests.I set the whole thing up via my mobile phone in a couple of minutes. I now have the BT hub upstairs and the repeater downstairs - no wires.Happy with this product. Does what I wanted.

Ok ordered yesterday arrived 12.45pm I’m sat in my garden about 20ft and through glass and concrete to the booster . Omg I have extraordinarily quick Internet! Omg I’ve used things like this before upstairs where’s there is a black spot. It works but it’s a bit meh. This has knocked my socks off. My husband will be thrilled. TMS on the DAB and sky sports with the pictures! So impressed so far ! Highly recommended. Used repeater mode easy instructions.N.b just used my iPad in the back bedroom, it’s a place that the internet drops off constantly. Absolutely fantastic again! Download speeds trebled !

Followed the instructions which for some reason wasn't as easy it should have been to set up. 1/2 hour later and blue air it was working. all good for 2 weeks then it dumped the connection. Set up again, still not easy same thing happened again. I have been able to to set it up since. It would have sent this back had I not had it for well over a month. Very disappointed.An update, Aigital got in touch and asked if I would like to product exchange which was great as I have had the original item for a couple of months. The new one has been working fine and their customer service has been excellent, which I think is very commendable. It would seem that I was just a little unlucky with the first one.
