Bought as a gift but perfect comedy dvd

When I was a child, I thought Ken Dodd was rather silly - especially his ventriloquist act and the Diddymen. Now, I can appreciate the massive talent that he had and the fact that he was often pretending to be less skillful than he really was, in order to enhance the surprise when suddenly things went right after all. Probably not one for the young folk who don't remember him, but great for those of us old enough to remember him with fondness and to be ready to indulge in a bit of nostalgia.

I used to go to ken's shows at the Floral in New Brighton every November and had hoped to do the same in 2017,I did book for the Philin Liverpool in late December 2017 but that show was cancelled,I then booked for the Floral in New Brighton in Ffebruary 2018.that was cancelledand moved to this July but sadly he died following his illness.This DVD gives you a snapshot of the genius that was Ken Dodd,whenever I want cheering up I'll watch him in the years to come..

Excellent seller service and excellent DVD. loved watching Ken Dodd perform again. lovely memory's of seeing him at Bradford Alambra and Blackpool Grand. If you like the song Absent Friends Ken Dodd sings it on this dvd. You cannot get it on any of his CDs.
