I love, love, love my new shredder! As a tax accountant, I have a lot to shred. And with all those social security numbers and other confidential information, I have to concern myself with the size of the shreddings. I got the P-5 and it's great! The speed is good and even with only an 8 sheet capacity, I'm amazed at how quickly I can go through a pile of papers. It also has not shut down on me yet. I can shred for a long time without it overheating. The cheaper shredders shut down so often it drives me crazy. It is such a waste of time. This one is well worth the price. I compared with a similar product offered locally and the local one was $400-500 more. One thing though, it does require frequent oiling, so you might want to order some extra oil, or oil sheets.(This is a replacement for my first one that came damaged. The case was dented and cracked, but, by the look of the box, it appeared to have happened during shipment. Since it weighed 50 lbs, I couldn't easily drop it off at the UPS store. I scheduled a UPS pickup which, after some scheduling problems, eventually worked out. My new one was delivered the same day. It was a bit of a hassle, but still worth it.)

After purchasing and replacing a few cheaper shredders, struggling with going through large batches, the noise level, dust particles in emptying the catcher...finally decided to try a high end model. Well, it’s totally and massively different experience. What a pleasure to use this machine! Sounds silly, but a chore I used to dread is now no big deal. Saves time, hassle, and frustration with this amazing quality shredder. Also love that shredding no longer makes my co-worker itch, cough, and plug her ears.

Fazit: Nur noch Ideal, weil bislang die in der Werbung noch zu verführerisch beschriebenen, billigeren Geräte entweder im Getriebe sich rasch verklemmten oder das "Betriebsgeheul" unerträglich war. Dieses Gerät ist grundsolide, kraftvoll und hat ein angenehm erträgliches Betriebsgeräusch.Für hochsensible Daten ist ein 4 mm Längsschnitt nicht ausreichend sicher und für große Papiermengen den Motor und den Auffangbehälter noch größer wählen. Der Inhalt eines schmalen DIN A4-Ordners füllt den Behälter randvoll.
