Best of the best
This lens is incredibly sharp, far surpassing budget options like Sirui and Viltrox, and even sharper than my Sigma 85mm f1.4, with no visible CA or purple fringing. Some reviews complain about the sharpness being too clinical, which I don't understand; how can someone complain about a lens being too sharp? You can always soften sharp images, but you can't make a soft lens sharper. I think it's all about who spends more on advertising. Trust me, you won't find a better or sharper lens.

Portrait Lens That Elevated My Photography
I’m absolutely blown away by the Meike 85mm F1.4 lens, paired with my Sony A7III, it delivers stunning sharpness and beautiful creamy bokeh that makes every portrait stand out. The autofocus is fast and quiet thanks to the STM motor, making it perfect for both photos and videos. This lens has genuinely elevated my photography skills and confidence, especially in portrait shooting.

Amazing as a 1
Amazing, my favorite lens, love how it works for photography and videography, it works as good as other most expensive lens

An incredible lens for the price, with impressive performance.
This lens surprised me in a good way. Considering its price and the price of the counterpart, this lens has nothing to envy. It is sharp, the autofocus is fast, silent, and its build quality is good. I didn't see any vignetting in my testings, neither signs of distortion. The eye tracking of my Sony A7IV worked perfectly even during low light conditions. I was particularly curious about how it would perform in backlit situations, where lenses often struggle with fringing, but I was pleasantly surprised to find almost no issues. The lens is fairly compact but a bit on the heavy side, which is expected considering the size of the frontal element and the aperture of the lens. You can adjust the aperture physically or leave it in Automatic and control it within the camera. I even tested with Meike's focus extension tubes and it was able to keep using the autofocus on macro mode! Overall, I would highly recommend this lens, especially when considering the quality-to-price ratio. It’s simply unmatched — offering stellar performance at a fraction of the cost of a comparable F1.4 lens. If you're looking for a lens that delivers beautiful bokeh and excellent overall image quality without breaking the bank, this is the one to get... it's basically a bokeh machine.

G Master on a budget
If you're looking for an alternative to the Gmaster 85mm lens, this is basically it. I've had both of them side by side, and I was thoroughly impressed with the Meike. Granted, the Gmaster is better, but considering it's more than double the price of the Meike, unless you want the absolute best performance, the Meike will do just fine. The housing of the lens is unapologetically plastic... doesn't feel that bad though, no complaints from me if I'm being honest, I'm not going to ask for the world at this price point. I'm very pleased with this lens, I think third party lens have come a long way!

Don’t be fooled by the Brand or price!
This is an excellent lens! I have several lenses from this brand and I love the quality and the price. Heavy, FAST and durable. I had no problems with the seller or the kens itself. Within the first week, it paid for itself.

Had some trouble with focus
Super sharp. Gorgeous image. But one of the main shots I needed this for involved slomo footage of people in front of a brightly lit white background. This lens couldn’t handle it, fluttering the focus wildly. I returned it. But it really was cool of it weren’t for failing at my main use case.

Nice, best, beast, bokeh king
Lens is very good and sharp. It is fast and silent. At wide open F1.4 aperture it is not the sharpest one at the corner if you want to shoot corner sharp then go to range of F2.0 to F3.2, considering the price piont built quality and in-hand feel is very very good👍. It is producing nice creamy Bokeh and adding the best depth to the subject, In video Focus is the best one it is silent, fast and accurate (don't go with the opinions on YouTube videos).
