I bought the NYX Lip Plumping Gloss because I wanted to add a bit of extra volume to my lips while enjoying a bold, high-shine finish. The promise of intense colour and pigmentation, combined with a vegan formula, made it a tempting choice. First off, the colour payoff is fantastic. Both shades are incredibly vibrant, with “Duck Plump” giving me a deep, rich hue that’s perfect for a more dramatic look, and “Lilac On Lock” offering a fun, flirty lilac that’s great for something more playful. The pigmentation is impressive, delivering a full-coverage colour in just one swipe, which I didn’t expect from a gloss. The gloss itself has a beautiful, extreme shine finish that catches the light perfectly. It gives my lips a glossy, almost vinyl-like look that’s very eye-catching. I also love that it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on my lips, which is a huge plus for a product that offers such a high-shine finish. However, the plumping effect is where things get a bit tricky. The gloss is infused with spicy ginger, and you can definitely feel it. The tingling sensation starts almost immediately after application, and it’s quite intense. I’m used to a bit of a tingle with plumping products, but this one is on another level—it almost borders on uncomfortable for the first few minutes. The plumping effect is noticeable, though, giving my lips a fuller appearance, but you’ll need to be prepared for that initial tingling sensation. Another thing to note is that the gloss does wear off fairly quickly, especially after eating or drinking, so you’ll need to reapply it throughout the day if you want to maintain that bold colour and shine. Overall, the NYX Lip Plumping Gloss delivers on its promise of intense colour and extreme shine, and it definitely gives your lips a fuller look. Just be aware that the tingling sensation is quite strong, which might not be to everyone’s taste. If you’re okay with that, it’s a fun, bold addition to your makeup collection, especially if you love a high-impact lip look.

I read many reviews that people felt a tingle immediately after using the product, and they definitely did not lie. The tingle was real! Its almost a sting sensation but it doesnt hurt and can definitely be felt. I would recommend as a first time user to use a little first and slowly use more as you get used to the sensation. I have used the product multiple times in a day (×3 -5) everyday for nearly 2 months. I think there has been a small 'plump' effect to my lips but its not instantly obvious. The texture is similar to other glosses and the colour (lilac on lock) would suit most skin tones. There is no sticky feel and lips feel moisturised. There is a slight ginger taste, which i presumes attributes to the tingle sensation. For the price, i think it is ok, but i won't be repurchasing

Smells nice, has no taste, leaves lips tingly and plumped, and lasts a long time. It isn't overly sticky, but it leaves a fantastic shine on the lips, the applicator makes applying it very easy and you can do so precisely.

The colour is stunning and doesn’t fade, even when I drink. The gloss lasts for hours unless I’m sipping a beverage, and the consistency is great because it’s not sticky or unpleasant. It gives me a subtle but cute, pouty look. Even though I love the shade and shine, it has a nasty bitter taste that doesn’t go away until I wipe it off. Ie it lasts for hours and I taste it every time I eat or drink something. Most lip plumper products tingle but this one is a little more intense than I’m used to

I’ve had plumping lip glosses before so know about the initial sting, but this went on and on and on! Rubbed it off after about 10 mins having decided it’s really not worth that!

I was a little bit nervous about trying this lip plumping gloss after seeing the warning of extreme sensations on the tube, however, it’s not unpleasant at all. It tingles quite a bit and mine lasted about an hour but it feels more of a cooling tingle than a prickly one. I love ginger too so I could taste the spicy ginger when I licked my lips. The lilac colour is divine. It has a pinky base so it’s very flattering and I even got a comment that my teeth looked very white while wearing it. It smoothed and plumped my lips, but not so noticeably that I had a duck pout; it’s a more subtle plumping that I really like. I love this lip gloss and would highly recommend it.

This NYX Professional Makeup Duck Plump lip plumping gloss is such a pretty colour (Lilac on Lock). It quite thick and applies easily with the sponge applicator. Unfortunately, I just can’t get on with the burn from the spicy ginger. I’ve had lip glosses before that tingle, but this is way beyond any tingle; it’s a full-on, uncomfortable burn. I licked my lips, and my tongue started to burn, and then my throat. I left it on for about an hour, but it was so uncomfortable I had to wipe it off. Even after wiping it off, it was still burning for ages afterwards. Also, I didn’t notice any difference in the plumpness of my lips, so it definitely didn’t work for me. Very pleased with this lip gloss which gives a really lovely glossy finish and a slightly plumped appearance to your lips. It looks really nice and really finishes off a makeup look. I love the finish of this as it looks really glossy and pretty but not too sticky. It also lasts a really long time without getting onto teeth or smearing. Very impressed with the formula of this and the pigmentation. The colour is really nice too, being a neutral pink but more of a cool tone, slightly more purple. Would be great for every day but can also be dressed up for nights out. It tingles a little bit but doesn't sting and it definitely does give the appearance of slightly plump lips due to the plumping formula. Very impressed with this for a low price point.

I really love this lip plumper. It's one of those plumpers that has that burny capsaicin feel that I like in a lip plumper. My original go to was the Two Faced Lip Injection and this feels quite comparable. My lips also look quite glassy and feel hydrated. I just love how it feels. It also doesn't feel sticky. And there is noticeable plumping. I have two of these now. The Lilac on Lock and Onyxpected. Love them both.
