Works for me
Use care so it doesn't stick to it's self. Grout tiles immediately and I would highly recommend epoxy grout. I'm confident these tiles are not coming off.

Total failure for glass tile backsplash.
I read reviews and watched some videos of application and use. I then carefully made sure the walls were flat and all tile was perfectly dry after any cuts were made. The initial experience was very good. In simple sections was very easy to apply the Bondera to the wall, then stick the tile to it. Then, in more complicated sections around outlet boxes, found it impossible to get the mat to the wall without it being a tangled mess, so switched to a traditional mastic for that area. Due to the delay with some of the more intricate cuts was unable to complete more then one wall the first day. But the completed area looked great! About 1:30am was awaken by the sounds of the glass tile falling onto the counter. Thank heavens I was unable to get the grouting done or this would have been a real mess! The good news is that it was extremely easy to peal the few sections that remained on the wall, and the Bondera was easily removed from both tile and wall without leaving any residue. Which indicates also how poorly it adhered as it should have been MUCH more difficult to remove after having been in place for 4-5 hours. Definitely not a good product to use for glass tile.

In abstract mosaics
I use this for glass mosaics. I don't always have a finished or concealed edge. If the edge is at an angle the reinforcement threads often show and due to the adhesive are hard to trim off.

I'd like to address something vital this product
I'd like to address something vital this product. This particular bondera tile mat set is specifically for countertops. Bondera brand has a specific tile mat set for back splash. So if you're using this particular item to install backslash and are experiencing problems, you now know why. I'm assuming it's based on the strength of the adhesive.

Awesome Product
I'm not sure where the one star reviews are coming from. This product is Awesome!!! I've used this tile mat numerous times with great success. I suspect that the poor reviews were possibly from users who didn't really understand how the product is supposed to be used (I'd hate to think the one stars were anything more than that). If you follow directions, make sure the surface you are tiling is clean and free of dust, you will be hard pressed to remove this product once secured. I don't believe for a minute that tile has just fallen off the wall for anyone. I've had tile set on the wall for several days before grouting with zero movement. When I've needed to remove the mat because of an error on my part, It's nearly impossible to remove. This product is not intended for large format tile, nor is it effective for stone unless cut smooth and flat (i.e., rough cut slate will not work). For Mosaics or Back Splash this is the ticket. You can stick this to a painted surface and it will not move, period.

This tile mat won't hold the tile in place. ...
This tile mat won't hold the tile in place. I dab the tile with caulk at a few spots to keep the tiles stick to the mat before applying grout.

Do not buy this product
My wife tiled the entire backslash and before we could get the grout in the single tiles started sliding. Shortly after that whole sections began falling of the wall. Does not work as advertised. At least we didn't have it grouped before it decided to turn loose
