Bright, Adjustable Motion Sensor Lights
These are bright motion sensor lights, and the direction of light can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally. These work great in dark corners of the garage, so I can see the pathway to the door. Light output is very good, and the motion sensor works well. Each light uses 3 "D" size batteries, which last a long time. The manufacturer states the device is IP65 level waterproof, but if mounting outdoors it's always a good idea to mount under a soffit, to protect the unit from water and sun damage over time.Four screws are used to install each light, which have some weight, especially after 3 "D" cell batteries are installed inside the light. Screws are included inside the package.Overall, these are excellent battery powered motion sensor lights that produce usable light output, are well made, and are very adjustable to aim the light wherever needed.

Expected there to be a switch
Unfortunately, there is no on off switch for these lights. I would not order these again as I think the large cell batteries would corrode in the elements. I would not order these again.

Incredibly bright battery powered motion light
I have installed two of these name brand of these lights in my backyard previously. These are better and lower cost than the name brand. I also like that they use only three D batteries but are somehow much brighter. We have lots of critters, raccoons in particular that can wreak havoc in the yard rooting round the grass, and we’ve found that motion lights tend to keep them fromBeing totally destructive. This type of motion sensor is great for installing where wired power would be challenging or impractical. There is a screw-off front facing part with the motion sensor and light. This also contains the battery carriage underneath with and easy to flip off top. The base has a finger adjustment for tilting and has prepared holes for installation with screws. Both sleeves and screws are provided.,This is important because batteries will need to be replaced, and typically you will be on a ladder doing the change out.A great deal with two lights that can increase security and has a great DIY capability without electrical know-how.Get one, or more!

Bright but narrow focus
These are very decent lights. They come with the base screws to mount to wood surfaces very easily. Once mounted it's easy to pivot and change direction to capture motion and light specific areas. The batties are easy to change after mounting which is good. They are waterproof and stood well during my last storm. Will be interesting to see how they handle cool in the winter. They are very bright and the motion detection works well. My only gripe is that the light beam is fairly narrow. It lights up that smaller area, but doesn't spread the light very much. Other than that, these are a good buy.

Backup lighting
When there are constant blackouts, you need every battery option possible to ward off the darkness. I've placed these in the hallway for easy access when the blackouts occur. They were easy to assemble and a definite addition to the household.

Motion sensor spotlight that runs off 3 D batteries
I picked these up to get a little extra light outside at night. They run off 3 D batteries (not included), can be mounted at an adjustable angle (upward or downward), are waterproof, and have a motion sensor. They are reasonably bright with new batteries.Pros: motion sensor battery operated so you can put them places you do not have wired power you get 2 units adjustable vertical angle (I think it rotates also) waterproofcons: If you mount them lower, people can remove them easily by unscrewing the thumbscrew that controls the angle of the unit or just unscrewing the lens/battery portion of the unit out of the housing. "D" batteries get expensive and as they get weaker the light gets duller. The tiny hex nut that attaches to the side of the mount opposite the thumbscrew is very easy to lose if it ever falls off. It's fairly bulky - bigger than I expected.I was torn between rating this unit as 3 or 4 star. It functions properly so I'd think a 4, but the bulky batteries and easy of theft make me think a 3. I definitely recommend mounting them a bit higher and out of reach.Hope this helps you!

decent lighting for a specific spot, not powerful enough for large area lighting
Quality doesn't seem like top notch. Plastic burr pieces came out the first time opening to put in the batteries. Battery slots don't have polarity markers but was easy enough to figure out.Light spread is more concentrated than spread out like a flood it. Reminded me of a a typical handheld flashlight as far as the lighting intensity and spread.

Thought they were solar powered
These work really well. We had a spot behind our outdoor bar that stayed pretty dark. We can now see our pups when they go out to potty. They come on at night and light up that one area that stayed dark. They work perfectly with motion sensing capability, but they are battery operated. They are out in the weather and have held up well with a lot of rain for this month of April. I wish they were solar powered, but they work really well
