I ordered this cord to replace a cracked and worn out one that was on my Makita reciprocating saw, I was a little concerned if it was going to fit because the description didn't mention the particular saw I have, but ordered it anyway. I removed the old cable and installed the new one ( a little tricky the way the trigger switch assembly was made but managed to get it put together) everything fit fine and went back together perfectly. My reciprocating saw is a Makita model# JR3000V

I replaced the old fraying power cord on my makita mitre saw. It is great quality and was easy to replace. I just wish it had a pre-installed shoe for the wire going to the terminal block. Or at least included it with the cord. But great nonetheless.

My husband's older Makita circular saw's power cord had been repaired and taped multiple times, to the point that he just had to replace the cord or the entire unit... this cord worked perfectly! Due to the saw's design and age, the change out did require him to install eyelets to the wires so he did use a few tools to complete the installation (screw driver, sawdering iron, and pliers). This cord is heavy duty and puts that Makita circular saw back in action!

VERY heavy power cord, with real thick gauge wire, and the extra rubber reinforcement thing that you want up by the tool to help prevent it fraying. Plus wires come pre-tinned, so installation should be super easy.
