After reading reviews for the Coleman 2 in 1 Grill and Stove, I was concerned about the melting aluminum grill. I searched and took a chance on the SafBbcue cast iron replacement. It fits perfectly! It’s true that it’s heavier than the one that came with the grill, but this should outlast the whole contraption. It appears well made and well cast. I have loved cast iron forever and had learned to take care of it for longevity. I think it’s best to heat any cast iron piece gradually - especially during first use - to prevent shocking it, which can cause warping and even breakage. Just heat it gradually, if possible, rather than hitting it with maximum heat, then bring up to cooking/grilling temp over a few minutes. Mine worked perfectly after wiping with a little olive oil and produced fantastic sear marks and wonderful flavor. This will hold up and allow the use of a pan/griddle over the grill side. I’m very pleased with this purchase!

So my alloy Coleman camping grill grate was at the point where I had to inspect food after it had cooked for flaked off teflon. I bought this but didn't realize it was CAST IRON until I got it. Knowing cast iron is way better than teflon coated alloy. I already know it's going to be better even before I cook on it.

Grills evenly, easy to clean off too. Fits my Coleman. It's a nice plate to be able to swap out depending on what you're cooking.

This is one solid heavy duty replacement grill Grate. Heavy weight and non-stick. IT is not the cheap kind you get from the supermarket. Great replacement.
