The star rating is for the product alone, the COD scam is just a warning for other customers.First, the product: thin, mildly see-through material. Loose threads and lack of finishing. No shaping so it gives potato sack vibes when worn. I ordered a medium, but it would easily be classified more accurately as a L or XL. The side sash attachments on the dress are very close to each other, so the sash doesn't serve much purpose as a sizing adjustment. Just overall disappointing, so it was a return for me. Basically, there's a common scam in some areas of the world that entail sending extra COD products to customers who made a legitimate order. Honestly, I don't even understand the point - something about inflating reviews?So within a day of when this dress was supposed to arrive, a courier knocked on my door with a COD delivery from a fulfillment center in Colorado. Had my name and address, but I hadn't ordered anything other than this dress. The courier said it was $10.99 COD, and asked if I wanted to just pick it up at the post office later. I agreed since I don't even know how you're supposed to pay for a COD if you don't have cash. I thought it must be the dress and I'd have to dispute an extra shipping charge later, but whatever. Before I could even check into it with the post office, the dress arrived the next day. Apparently with COD scams, the idea is that the customer will pay for the extra item when it arrives prior to their real order, thinking it was what they were expecting.There was also no info from the post office aside from the courier's visit, and he wasn't wearing a standard USPS uniform. No information which branch to pick up from, no delivery attempt information, nothing else suggesting I have a package to pick up. Could all be normal, who knows. But it felt creepy and strange. I can only assume it had something to do with this order, so I'm adding this as a warning to other would-be customers.
