Works as described. Smooth reed surface, no splinters, dough comes off easily (just be sure to spread an even but thin layer of flour over the bowl before placing the dough in to rise). Lightweight, easy to use and pattern pretty clear. I used it for sourdough.

I had never used a proofing basket prior to this, but I am so glad that I gave it a try because I love how it helps in creating a nice-looking loaf - and the results are delicious! I used this proofing basket for the first time today, and it worked wonderfully. I made my first artisan sourdough bread.It looks and tastes amazing! This basket was really fun to use, and it left a beautiful pattern on the loaf. I would highly reccomend it !

The bread scraper tool is not the same as the advertised picture.If you want to return this item to the company, it will cost you hundreds of dollars because you have to return it to China and you have to pay the return.I wonder if Amazon even care

Purchased this banneton because of its advertised size, 10"x 4". What I actually received was a nearly 9.75"x3.25" banneton. Thus the 4 stars.Outer diameter: 9.75"Inner diameter: 9.25"Outer height: nearly 3.5"Inner height: 3"Just wanted to let others know the actual outer and inner dimensions of what was received so you can decide if this banneton is right for you. Liked that it was nice and odor free though.

No instructions on how to use it

Works perfectly! I read online that the best way to season the banneton (without the liner installed) is to dampen the basket, then flour it, then let it set for a couple of hours. Tap off excess flour, then re-flour before proofing. The dough came right off, no sticking! Very happy with my purchase.

This proofing basket is awesome. With light coating of coarse flour, it allows the dough to rise naturally and does not dry the dough. It holds the perfect size to fit my pizza baking stone. To clean, just lightly dust with your fingers, leaving most of the flour behind, and cover with the cloth liner that comes with it.
