GIVI S250 Tool Box

I bought a Chinese aliexpress knock off. It cracked at the mount pretty quickly. So I bought a Givi. The Givi weighs 2 lbs. The knock off weighs 1 1/2 lbs. you can feel the difference in quality. Beware. Everything I’ve gotten from AliExpress has been junk.

I use one of these boxes for holding my air compressor on my bike. Would be good for tools too. You can buy dedicated brackets or make your own.

Fits great on Tusk racks for Africa Twin. Can get most of my tools in it with the exception of the tire tools. Very sturdy solid construction. Door seals tightly.

This toolbox is fairly small. It does help, and is worth having, but it seems like it could be quite a bit larger, which would be good. The seal doesn't stay in place and every time I open it, it comes partially out.

Make your own mounting bracket as seen in photos save your money. Nice sturdy box compared to others sold on Amazon, just wish it was a bit bigger in dimensions to fit proper tools.

I purchased 2 of these because the GIVI racks were spaced so far out from my bike (kinda looked dumb) that ironically left the perfect amount of room for one on each side. My initial intention was tubes in one & tools in the other. My rear tube would never fit. The size stated it generous. I had to angle by 10” long pro-motion bead breaker tire levers to get them to fit in the box. Non matching keys is also annoying but not surprising for GIVI. You will have to drill 4 holes in the box to allow figment. I did use the GIVI mount kit.

He also said that it was easy to install.

Tool box looks great and feels like good quality. However, I am unable to fit this behind my Givi Trekker bags on a 2014 V-strom 1000. Returning, hopefully someone finds this thing a good home in the future.
