USM - HandGun Universal Scope Mount BY FAB-DEFENSE

For the money I was delighted with this item, light yet well made and engineered. I have fitted it to my K22 LBP to compliment a red dot sight. Much better idea than drilling and tapping the lower receiver for a side mount. Open sight bridge allows acces to the open sight, should they be needed, good compromise on visibility versus height. Very pleased overall

At first assembly it moves with difficulty. But after that it works perfect. With some pistols there's not enough distance to the cover, but with a little bit abrading there's no contact any more.

Nice solid unit, perfect for mounting a mini or micro red dot to your pistol.I fitted this on a K22 LBP, it was VERY tight (had to use a mallet to get it on the bottom rail) as it went on very tight at first, it stopped the slide from cycling properly (after resetting the hammer it would be a very slight amount out so the firing pin would not strike the round). The result was that after each shot I had to gently tap the slide forward with my left thumb before firing the next shot. However, I understand this is a USM and not specific to that gun so did expect a small amount of modification to be done. I ended up taking a file to the inside edges of the mount just to take enough off so that it slides tightly on the frame of the pistol, but doesn't squash the polymer. I'll be trying it again next week at the range but I think it should be fine now.The product itself is solid, nice looking and IMO worth the money. Also it clears the ejection port perfectly and makes the pistol look even smarter when attached.

Much nicer quality than I had expected. Long shipping time, but that was expected coming from Israel or wherever it came from - I didn't even know international shipping was allowed or whatever from there. My only issue is personal and has nothing to do with the product, but anyone looking to put this on a Sig Sauer P226, the top of the slide on the gun is in contact with this rail, it takes a minute amount of filing to get it to clear properly.

I knew going in that "universal" didn't mean much since there are literally thousands of different size guns out. That being said when it DIDN'T fit my Taurus PT1911AR, I wasn't surprised. It fit like a glove width wise with around .125" (1/8") gap or less on each side. but while I carefully slid it on the lower rail it was painfully obvious that it was definetly going to rest on the top of the slide. After closely looking at how much it was off by I determined that any halfway mechanically person could easily remove enough material with a file for it to clear. I can't stress enough to line the inside of the adapter with black tape to avoid scratching your slide. The parkerized 1911's especially. My stainless didnt really show and marks....but I was careful. I'm a machinist by trade so you can imagine..I made it work. I used a EDM wire machine to remove the material from the needed area to achieve the "factory finish". I also sandblasted the adapter to match the pistol. Overall it seems to be a solid adapter, although I haven't got many rounds through it yet. For now I'll give it 5 stars, for "tacticoolness" and lets face it....who else makes one? I've uploaded a couple pics of my pistol with the adapter installed.One more thing. The screw/bolt that came with mine will work fine. I recommend getting one with a shoulder though. The recoil from larger caliber pistols with eventually move the adapter forward/backward and when it does the threads from the screw/bolt will cut into your lower rail.
