Strength Training Bands
This piece of equipment is an excellent option for working your abs, triceps, shoulders and other muscle groups for strength training and resistance. The way it works is that there is a strap that has metal beads sewn in, so that when you place it over the door and close the door, the strap is not going to snap back at you in the face. Once you close the door, there is no yanking it out of place. If you don't want to use the door, there is also a metal loop at the top. You can get your own very strong carabiner and hook it up to almost anything (like a pull-up bar, for example). The rope is very good quality, as good as a commercial gym, but a much shorter length than a good gym would have. It doesn't hamper the exercises so that's okay. There are three bands available at difference resistances, although they are all the same length. You cannot remove any of the bands, so they all stay on while you are working with one (or more) of them at a time. This item comes with handy instructions to install it over the door, how to keep it clean and in working order, and there is a color photo fold-out of a few exercises (plus, some exercises are demonstrated on the box itself). There are a couple of things that I'm not crazy about: (1) The box says that the bands are color-coded by resistance strength. Although they do come in different colors, there is no code to say which is the strongest and which is the lightest resistance. From use, I can gather that the pink is the strongest, the Army-green is the middle and the light green is the lightest. I've used bands in the past that even tell you how many pounds each band represents, but no such information comes with these. (I am now realizing that my colors are different from that in the product photo.)(2) is that the bands themselves do not have their weight equally distributed. For example, you are working your triceps. You pull on the rope and stretch it down to your mid-thigh for a good pump to the triceps. However, the bands are constructed so that from the point where you start to pull until about your waist, it's an easy task, like pulling on the rubber band. The resistance doesn't come until you are at your waist and attempting to pull it down to your thighs. To make a comparison, I hooked up my B-Force Bands to the rope. The resistance was strong from start to finish, you can really feel it in your muscles throughout the entire rep. On the other hand, I did notice that these SPRI bands take a bit of use to really break them in. Once you do, the resistance becomes a bit easier (which is the opposite of what you want).I would still recommend this if you are traveling and want to take something along to keep your muscles engaged. A good choice.

Well, I like the rope, at least!
I was really excited to get this since the triceps rope is usually unavailable at my local gym, and I'm already accustomed to working out with resistance bands. I have to admit that I'm mostly disappointed, however. The main problem for me is that the bands are too short to really mimic the kind of regular pulling action that a regular cable machine delivers. Since they are resistance bands, if I do try and stretch them out during, say, a triceps pull-down, the resistance doesn't stay constant. (That is, the farther away my arms get, the harder I have to pull to get there.) This might not bother some people who already have fairly robust triceps, but for women in particular, tris seem to be the weakest of the large arm muscles; I baby mine a bit so I don't risk over-working them or pulling them. I also don't really like how the other cords kind of just dangle ... I usually try and clip these up to the black band holder, but it doesn't always work well. It'd be better if each band was completely detachable.Insofar as convenience, though, the product is great. I can hook it up to any doorway and start working out with it.I'll be honest, though: I really only use this in workout emergencies, i.e. when I can't get to the gym, but have triceps exercises planned on the cables. It's really a very limited piece of equipment in this respect. The other ways I use it is simply for the rope, which I take with me to the gym so that I don't have to wait for one to free up. I just put some colored tape on it to signify that it's mine, not the gym's, and no problems.

Easy to use for a good workout.
The whole apparatus is used by connecting it to the top of a sturdy door, then closing the door. You should make sure that your door can handle the load that you'll be applying. It also has a small warning label to prevent someone from opening the door while you're using the device. This band seems to be a good tool for most people to be able get a good workout at home or while traveling. I say most people because the bands are a little to difficult for me to use as i'm suffering from a torn rotator cuff and I'm going through Physical Therapy. My therapist found that this had too much resistance for me to use. This has "triple resistance" by using different bands of different colors. The one thing I can't figure out is which color band to use for different resistance levels. One would think the the bands should be labeled, or the directions should indicate what color means what. It doesn't.Regardless, overall it's a good solid tool for working out as long as you keep all of the above in mind.

Extremely durable. Definitely works at home. Very happy!
This is a great workout tool for any household. A very simple design and made to work with practically any door. It attaches simply as you close the door via these inner balls in the rope. And you’re set.It came with 3 different resistors having 3 different colors. The rope where you can hold unto is extremely durable and will probably last a lifetime. It also came with an instructional pamphlet. So you won’t get lost on what needs to be done and how to do it. Very visual and colorful photos. One thing I should mention... if you have flimsy doors, this won’t work because you’ll probably damage the door. You need to have decent doors that are strong. I use my entrance door for safety - it’s all metal.I did my first workout for my triceps yesterday and I am still sore. It’s definktly working.I hope this was helpful. Thank you.
